Recently I have been watching some of DC Comics more recent superhero TV series. I have to say I found much of the VFX to be cringe-worthy, rushed and under-delivered.

Seeing bullets ricochet off the body of a Superman clone is expected, but his off the rack t-shirt remains inexplicably intact and unaffected. Seriously. It was painful to watch. So painful, I had to rewind to make sure I saw it correctly.

Fire / smoke simulations and explosions looked like low-res or small scale placeholders and could have been made better had they been replaced with easily sourced stock fire elements.

I could spend many paragraphs citing some of the most egregious scenes from different shows, but I will spare myself having to re-live the cringe.
I cannot blame the VFX vendors as I have seen top notch work from them, so I have to assume the shows are rushed through production with a hard target for release with little regard for the IP.
The lack of integrity and respect for the characters shows not only in the production quality, but also in the script writing.

I love DC Comics and the DC Universe of characters, but the live-action TV renditions are an embarrassment.
If only DC had gotten the same attention and love that Marvel has had in the past few years...
