Slackwater SLC
The new Slackwater SLC is now open. We popped in for lunch and a beer on Friday. Simply outstanding. You know our appreciation for Slackwater Pub & Pizzeria - Sandy (and if we lived closer, the OG Slackwater Pub & Pizzeria in Ogden would be in regular rotation).
Today, the menu included a Deseret IPA from Bewilder Brewing and the Tikka Masala and Buffalo Chicken pizzas (as well as an order of the July special wings — Slackwater Inventory Wings). 😋
The new location (all ages welcome) is beautiful. It features an airy dining room with cool art installations, spacious patio seating, a bar area, and even a comfy-looking lounge spot. Plus, so many beers are available on tap and in cans/bottles. Oh, and nice mountain views and free street parking! 🍻
Congratulations to Slackwater on its new location in Salt Lake City. 🍻

A Look at the 2021 Utah Beer Festival
Utah Beer News sat down with Pete Saltas, publisher of Salt Lake City Weekly and festival director for the 11th Utah Beer Festival, as part of our Virtual Taproom series. The Utah Beer Festival, which takes place in Salt Lake City on Aug. 21-22, 2021, is the largest beer-sampling event in the state. This year’s installment will feature more than 50 breweries pouring about 250 different beers over the course of two days.
