When we talk about inflation in the Philippines, it’s not just about rising prices today—it’s a story of resilience and adaptation.

In the 1970s, during the oil crisis, inflation in the Philippines skyrocketed to over 20%.

People struggled as prices of basic goods like rice and fuel doubled almost overnight.

But here’s the thing: the Philippines didn’t collapse.

Instead, the country adapted.

Farmers worked harder to increase rice production, the government implemented price controls, and Filipinos learned to budget and prioritize their needs.

Fast forward to today, inflation is still a challenge, but the Philippines has proven time and again that it can weather the storm.

This is where I want you to find inspiration:

- Challenges will come.
- Prices will rise.
- Life will get harder.

But if you stay resilient, adapt, and keep moving forward, you’ll find a way to thrive.

𝗦𝗠 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰. 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝟲𝟬𝟬 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘇𝗻𝗼𝗻𝘀

SM Foundation Inc. successfully conducted a mall-based medical mission at the 2nd Level, SM City Roxas on February 11, 2025.

The said activity is one of the health and wellness initiatives of SMFI that aims to pursue its mission of helping communities have a better quality of life through health.

The medical mission was in cooperation with the
Kiwanis Division 2B under the leadership of Lt. Gov. Delfa Jison, Capiz Electric Cooperative, JCI, volunteer doctors/nurses and medical teams from Capiz Provincial Health Office and Roxas City Health Office.

Around 600 recipients availed of free medical consultation, laboratory services and medicines.

SM Foundation Inc. have a long-standing commitment to serving communities through various corporate social responsibility initiatives as they look forward to conducting more medical missions in the future, contributing to the overall well-being of Filipinos.
