was our wonderful DJ. His gift is mixing music. I was also impressed by how quickly he can set up and breakdown. It was ninja status! He’s relatively new to the scene- so scoop him up before he gets too busy!

Cake 🎂
— I got so many compliments on our cake and many were surprised that I got it from my neighborhood Safeway! Tip: Custom order with cream cheese frosting on white cake with raspberry filling. I wanted a classy design so the bakery made these elegant rose petals. 🌹

Food 🍽️
—our go-to for food and drinks for a crowd.

If your child has even an ounce of interest in the series- then go see at !! We almost skipped this one due to our busy fall schedule but bought tickets last minute, and I’m SO glad we did. It was funny and creative with jokes for both kids and adults. The cast was awesome! My son (and practically everyone in the theatre) was smiling ear to ear during &?after the show. 💙

🎟️ Ticket prices vary but we got a student ticket for $45, adult ticket for $55 (standard seating)
🗓️Only playing one more week with limited tickets available but several seats l open for Thursday, Oct. 19 show .

Took a break from social media following the sudden and tragic loss of my beloved aunt last month.

My aunt and my mom were as close as sisters come and you could consider them the OG traveling mamas- packing up the car with their collective 4 kids often times with grandma and grandpa for road trips to places like Disney World, Dollywood, Smoky Mountain National Park and Washington, D.C.

I miss her terribly, and it’s still hard to believe she’s gone. While the grief continues to come in waves— I’m thankful for the memories we shared. She leaves behind a legacy of love and adventure that I hope to carry on.

Rest in peace, my dear 이모. I will always love you. You were a blessing to us all. ❤️

Hi- I’m Janet! ✋If you’re new here- just wanted to share a little about myself. After 10 years as a broadcast journalist, I said goodbye to working nights and weekends so I could spend more time with my growing family. I made a career pivot into corporate communications when my first son was just a year old. Now I work for an iconic tech company telling cool stories and still get to have dinner with my family!

Outside my day job, we love to travel. Since we don’t have that much time with the kids during the week, we adventure as much as we can outside of working hours. My husband and I like putting together short and simple itineraries. I wanted to share these ideas in case they’d be helpful for anyone else hence the start of this handle. When I was in news, we were really encouraged to be on social media more, interacting with people in the community and giving people a look into our lives. Now that I’m not in the business anymore, I realized how long it’s been since I used it! So here’s an update into my new world!

I may not be a reporter anymore, but I still work with them regularly. Today, I got to work with my old colleague and friend Alison Morrow to talk about Puget Sound Energy ‘s really cool recycling program. Alison is doing a ton of stuff in the name of the environment, and I was proud to play my small part! Plus, I discovered how much I love being behind the 🎥!

A story produced from my old station in Nashville. So beautiful. A reminder that love and compassion go such a long way. 💕

Margaret Smith was at VUMC looking forward to a liver transplant, but doctors told her that her health was in poor shape for a transplant. She died today in a Cookeville nursing home after her battle with liver cancer, but she didn't leave the hospital without the voice of an "angel" singing her on.

As the father of a special needs child, I'm honored to bring you a story about former Seahawks lineman Sean Locklear, who helped lead the Hawks to Super Bowl XL.
His 4-year-old son Zane is now physically and intellectually disabled after nearly drowning more than two years ago.
Sean and his wife Tiffany now have new hope, thanks to an experimental treatment, that scientists say, reversed the brain damage in another toddler who nearly drowned.
I'm sure you'll be moved by the dedication and love in the Locklear family. I know it touched me.
