Facebook business page owners and admins! ---- Here is another helpful hint... when a person/business shares your post or image, make sure you visit their page to #1 like/love/etc and #2 comment 'thanks!' or 'thanks for sharing!" on that shared post... this is not just the polite thing to do, but liking and commenting on a post increases the overall 'reach' of that post... so, that means that more people will see that shared post on their page just from you liking and commenting on it!

Since everyone seems to be sharing the new B F F facebook image/post, figured I would just chime in about it... another hoax obviously.... For those that dont know, Facebook has what is called Text Delight Animations and/or some call them Easter Eggs.... special words or abbreviations like B F F and C O N G R A T S or R A D .... there are tons of them... well, maybe not tons but many.... all typed without spaces obviously... If a word is on their list, it will probably change colors and you will see some sort of animation on your screen... comment below on this post and try it if you would like.... works on most everyones account.

For page owners & admins that are using social media integration services for posting... I use many of them too.... I have been testing this over the past several months... I am getting better results (ie Reach) posting manually on 1 page and then sharing individually (manually) to my other pages than I get with using the 'service'... Makes sense I suppose, especially with FB changing things around a bit.... remember, it's all about sharing and being social on FB... so, and I certainly know it's a big time saver using a service and let it distribute the posts, but try posting stuff the old way and sharing and see if your reach increases as well... I think it's certainly worth the extra 1 minute for your own business or for your clients... please let me know your results!

Just another word of advice... I know we all like to 'vent' on Facebook.... however, if you are a business owner, it would be advisable to refrain from posts that are negative or 'bash' another business - especially one that is local!... More people than you realize read your post(s).... It can hurt your business!...... If you have an issue or a bad experience, why not try to make friends instead of enemies!... go talk to them in person... introduce yourself... explain that you are also a local business owner.... explain your bad experience with them... tell them it's bad for the entire community for anyone these days to have a bad experience... ask them if there is anyway you can help them.. try to be understanding.... everyone has a bad day once in a while and everyone is not perfect... Let's try to Be Social and Connect!

While you are shopping or eating, etc., make sure you take the time to 'Check In' where you are on your phone!... establishments receive a notification when you do! ... the really good merchants keep track of it and might possibly send you thank you gifts - like future discounts!.... connect with them and they might just connect back with you!.......... I was working with a restaurant client back a few years ago and we came up with a plan that they would give a free off-menu dessert item treat to take home after their meal to the individuals that checked-in when they were eating at the restaurant!

Do you own a store?...... when you get new inventory in to sell, make sure you take a picture of it and post to your facebook business page!... make sure the picture is a good one and also post information on the item and the price of it in the description area!... Make a note for a special discount to your followers if they print or show on their phone the image!

This Facebook 'change' that everyone is talking about really is not all of that big of a deal... just keep doing what you do and all will be fine..... For Business Page Owners, just keep remembering that it's all about Shares & Comments on your posts.... sure, you might have to boost a few more posts but you are probably doing that anyway.... keep an eye on your current posts with what has been getting activity and what hasn't.... stop doing the what hasn't been working and do more of what has been getting the activity and you will be just fine.
