I’ve been obsessed with for awhile now. So last week I got my act together and actually started selling, now I can’t stop! I’m raiding everyone’s wardrobes. I earned enough with my first few sales to buy these unworn new Birkenstocks in a style I have wanted for ages, for less than half the price if I bought them new. I already have the Boston shirling, now I have the Arizona ones too!
I want my wardrobe to consist of things I wear all the time. Not full of things I only wear a few times. this pair will replace about four pairs of similar, that will be recycled, donated and sold. In return I have space.
Just about to start selling this weeks stuff. It feels good 😊

When ya boy is a talented Portrait, documentary photographer . . . Anyone can snap a shot. It takes to true talent to bring out a personality or the essence of the subject. IMO
Taken a few months ago, (before my haircut) I think he captured not just an image but me as a person and also his Muvva!
Nothing digital was involved in the taking of this shot 😎 and it goes without say no filters !!

Weekend snaps.
Beer Festival at The old Brewery in Blandford. I wore the first ever by made back in 2019 and stayed out well past 9.30pm! 🙌🏻
We drank cider and strolled through the ruins of this stunning old building. Currently being redeveloped into apartments.
Marc remembered when he stood in this exact spot aged 16 as a youth club leader to receive new dart’s equipment for the club donated by Hall and Woodhouse. Scroll to see him with long hair 2nd from right!
Today it’s a bit of tidying a spot of washing and then some sewing!

Sewing boxes have always held a fascination for me. In particular other people’s sewing boxes. They are so personal, filled not just with sewing paraphernalia but personal trinkets we hold dear.
Last year we went to a house clearance sale. The owner had gone to live in a home and the family were selling the contents on her behalf. We bought some beautiful things home with us. A steamer trunk full of fabric, some books and for me this sewing box. The lady’s husband was a dentist who’s hobby was carpentry. He made this box for her.
I carefully sorted through the contents, all fascinating, a shell a tiny iron horseshoe , her well used thimble, old keys etc. Then I passed the empty box to Marc. He will give it some tlc, sand and oil it and at my request. line it with felt.
I am going to use it as a jewellery box. A fitting next chapter I think don’t you?
Tell me what nostalgic trinkets do you keep in yours? My mum kept my old nappy pin in hers!

Today I’m wearing . . .
Softly washed linen dress sewn last year. Used the from and added a skirt from a rectangle, kept the frayed edges for the drawstring waist. Being linen it actually feels cool in this blistering heat the UK is experiencing 👍🏻
