تُمنح جائزة العلا للتصميم، للتصاميم الاستثنائية المستوحاة من تراث العلا ومناظرها الطبيعية وتاريخها.

وفي نسختها الأولى، تدعو جائزة العلا للتصميم المصممين والحرفيين المُبدعين والعلامات التجارية الإبداعية الثقافية إلى تقديم مقترحاتهم حول منتجات فريدةٍ وخاصة يمكن إنتاجها لتكون هدايا مميزة لكبار الشخصيات، وإحدى منتجات محلات البيع بالتجزئة.

(ماذا يكمن وراء الجدران)
عمل زهرة الغامدي في صحراء بالم سبرينغ #كاليفورنيا

بالنسبة لأعمال زهرة الغامدي ، تتشابك الخامات والذاكرة بشكل لا ينفصم. تتضمن العديد من أعمالها تراكمات كبيرة من الخامات التي يبدو أنها تغطي تاريخ وثقافات الأماكن التي أتوا منها. عندما زارت زهره الغامدي بالم سبرينغ في كاليفورنيا، ادهشتها المناظر الطبيعية الصحراوية التي وجدت في جبالها وترابها صلة مع المنطقة التي نشأت فيها وهي المنطقة الجنوبية الغربية من المملكة العربية السعودية ، ابتكرت زهره جدارا يردد ويجمع بين الأشكال التقليدية البنائية من بلدها مع التنظيم المعماري الذي وجدته في وادي كواتشيلا. كانت النتيجة جدار متآلف يتكون من أشكال مكدسة مشربة بالأسمنت والتربة المتنوعة الخاصة بكل منطقة. زهره الغامدي تعبر عن لغة فردية للغاية تتوافق مع المشاعر والعواطف والذكريات المرتبطة بالمكان والزمان.
تستكشف زهرة الغامدي ( من الباحة ، المملكة العربية السعودية ) الذاكرة والتاريخ من خلال العمارة التقليدية في الوسط والتجميع. تتضمن عمليتها الشاقة والدقيقة تجميع جزيئات الأرض والطين والصخور والجلد والماء. تعتمد وسيطتها وعمليتها على مفهوم "الذاكرة المجسدة" لترجمة وتحديد موضوعات الهوية الثقافية والذاكرة والفقدان. مثلت الغامدي المملكة العربية السعودية في بينالي البندقية 2019 وشاركت في Desert X AlUla 2020.

What Lies Behind The Walls by .zahrah_alghamdi
For Zahrah Alghamdi, material and memory are inextricably intertwined. Many of her works involve large accumulations of material that seemingly layer the histories and cultures of the places from which they come. When Alghamdi, who grew up in the southwestern region of Saudi Arabia, visited Palm Springs, she was struck by the connection between the desert landscapes and architectures. For Desert X, she has created a sculpture that echoes and synthesizes the traditionally built forms from her country with the architectural organization she found in the Coachella Valley. The result takes the form of a monolithic wall comprised of stacked forms impregnated with cements, soils, and dyes specific to each region. It expresses a highly individualized language corresponding to feelings, emotions, and memories associated with place and time. (Photo by .gerber)..

(اللوحة فيها مايمثل تراثنا العريق، مستقبلنا الواعد، وحاضرنا النابض. واستاد الملك فهد يمثل الاضواء العالمية على مملكتنا).
العمل يعرض حاليا في بنك ساب في الضباب...
Saudi artist (and Oasis co-founder) was chosen by to create an artwork of more than 10 meters in height representing her thriving city of Riyadh.
The artwork, which is currently on view at HSBC/SABB headquarters on Dabab Street, represents our rich heritage which has paved the way for our vibrant present (with saudi youth at the center of the painting) and promising future. The whole artwork takes place within the King Fahd Stadium representing the national and international spotlight on Saudi Arabia.

أعلنت وزارة الثقافة السعودية اقامة متحف تفاعلي في #جدة بالتعاون مع فريق "تيم لاب" الياباني العالمي المتخصص في تصميم متاحف رقمية تتقاطع فيها الفنون مع التقنية في فضاءات إبداعية مبتكرة.
ويأتي المتحف ضمن اتفاقية بين الوزارة وفريق "تيم لاب" تمتد لعشر سنوات سيقام المتحف خلالها في مدينة جدة بحلول عام 2023.

The Saudi Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Japanese multimedia collective teamLab will launch a new digital art museum in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, by 2023 called teamLab Borderless Jeddah. The Tokyo-based technology group, known for producing crowdpleasing immersive experiences awash with virtual waterfalls and flowers, has entered into a ten-year agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Culture to develop works for the planned museum.

“It has long been common to reproduce the world's most famous paintings by imitation. In this abstract idea, I used furs as a creative tool to move world-famous paintings forward. With this effect, I combined the colors of all pictures in an innovative and vibrant way. I have been impressed by classical paintings since my childhood. However, since modern art has become digital, I have turned all this into my favorite 3D artwork.”
