Amazing view of common dolphins in Cornwall! Once again, CK Hawk did a fantastic job of capturing the action!!

It's all kicking off out there!! Give it go, you never know what'll see!

More bottlenose action in Cornwall!!

Here's the Captain's eye view from the encounter with the offshore pod of bottlenose dolphins! Great skills from CK Hawk to take the vid and to spot them in the first place for his dedicated wildlife cruises for AK Wildlife Cruises !!!

An amazing day out guiding with CK Hawk and AK Wildlife Cruises!! It really was like a scene from blue planet with around 100 common dolphins and gannets diving in everywhere!

We later encountered an offshore pod of bottlenose dolphins - a rare event!! The maternal pod contained around 85 individuals and they continued to play around the boat throughout the encounter! What an amazing day!!

All WiSe protocols followed during the interactions.

Incredible encounter with bottlenose dolphins in Cornwall!!

An amazing encounter with around 85 offshore bottlenose dolphins! The pod contained adults, juveniles and calves! One individual was an absolute bruiser and their head must have been around 2ft wide at least!

Video taken yesterday whilst guiding for AK Wildlife Cruises!! All WiSe protocol followed during the interaction.

Massive 9m basking shark off of Falmouth with AK Wildife Crusies!!!

A massive 9m basking shark off of Falmouth today!! Vid taken whilst guiding for AK Wildlife Cruises! Looking like another beautiful day tomorrow, why not give Captain Keith a call, who knows what you'll see?!?

It is important to note that my video is a short clip of the interaction and all WiSe protocols were followed. This allowed the impressive basker to double back on itself and approach the boat! Not only was this amazing for us to see, it also allows us to record and share vital information which is needed to protect this vulnerable species such as length and s*x of the shark.

By knowing these animals as well as Captain Keith does and of course being WiSe accredited, it ensures this information can be recorded without causing any disturbance issues! In fact, we left the shark as it happily continued to feed in the same area as when we found it!

Inspired by her study species in her MSc project, Haley R Dolton was moved to sketch one. We felt it was worth sharing as it is so well observed. If you have a shark obsessed friend (most of us do!) tag them to brighten their morning!

Baraka the black rhino- sadly this rhino has lost both of his eyes. In order to keep him alive, Ol Pejeta Conservancy created a 100 acre enclosure, which raises some interesting conservation questions...
