I started Mass Effect Andro finally and mannnnnnn doooddddd the new squad is a bunch of teenie bopper pooners. It kind of feels like its aimed at high schoolers like those tv shows that replace all adults with teens as main cast.

Bungie comes out missing 45% revenue. TBH I am not surprised. If I had to guess this is largely because they monetize the game through cosmetics in kind of a 20/80 split. You pay 20% for the content and 80% for the cosmetics. This I think is a banger way to make money when people are hype about your game but since the last expansion people have been very critical or even not logging in. I think since the expansion buying Destiny2 cosmetics is the last thing on anyone's mind and since they have build a business model that I think requires people to want to buy cosmetics it has cost them maybe the death of the game..

Personally I don't buy cosmetics and I think people that do are getting swindled thinking they get some sort of prestige when really no one cares about anything you buy. The nature that you can buy it means it doesn't and can't have prestige. I think these people just don't get what they really want is to earn a set of cool looking gear that gets them respect and admiration but you can never get that in the game shop.

Because of my nature of thinking cosmetics are a sort of scam I think any business model that leans to heavy on them is a ticking time bomb for the day people wake up and realize its pointless or the day they actually don't like an update you give.

I would not have minded paying more per season as a sudo monthly sub at a point but I am never going to be a sucker buying cosmetics thinking they will bring me prestige.

What is in Retail we are living in an AI control universe.

I suspect the Titans are actually constructs to the same degree the people in the Shadowlands were. I am guessing the First Ones made the Titans to maintain order in the living universe in the same way they created the Shadowlands to keep order of the anima.

The fact that the First Ones are mia makes me think we are living in some Matrix like future were the AI kill its creators and now all life is being used like some kind on anima battery.

This also makes sense why Titans want the timeline they are in control to remain the prime one.

The one thing I wonder about is the Jailer seemed to have a purpose like the AI was unifying the universe in some kind of order to prepare it for something that is coming. Like maybe it took control because it thought it was the only way to survive what is coming and to prepare. What though I wonder is coming..?

I took a vacation from mmos to play through the Mass Effect Legend revamp. I never got into the 3rd game last time I played these so Im glad I came back to finish it off.

I started fresh did prob 98% of the stuff you can do, there was a few missions I missed but mostly I did every side quest I can find and scanned every planet.

Rip to Thane, Mordin, Legion and Kaidan for getting us this far and not making it for the photo.. Oh and Morinth cant forget her.

Ill probably grab Andromeda next time its on sale.

My f2p StarRail account..

I have done every gem quest in the game. I have gotten every treasure on every map. I have beaten every map challenge or boss mob. I have clear all but 3 stars in forgotten memory. I have completed every event.

Still no Silverwolf tho lol. I lost my first 5050 on a Bronya so if I can get another 5 star Ill be guarantee but its just getting one is the problem.

All I can do now is hope I can pull enough gems out of sim universe before monday. Wish me luck!

Got Diablo 4 then rolled a Classic WoW alt..

So I got D4 and then couldn't play it because I need to reinstall windows.

So I went back to classic era and started a new character instead lol. I'm releveling a pally on mankrik era. I probably won't go to hard on it since I have done it all mostly already but I am interesting in ranking again.

I herd they are going to do a big rank reset so it could be a fun wave of pvp to be apart of for a bit.

Time for another game rant..

So DCUO gets cap every few months they are loot boxes. Usually on 15 cap opening you get a cosmetic doll and after 25 you get a combat ally. Combat allies usually have passives offering some build variety and they are usually worth getting.

So sometimes they launch a cap without the ally and only the doll but then add the ally in a few months after. I presumed this was because the ally wasn't done or they wanted to get a second spike of cap sales.

This issue is they just launched a new cap before finishing the last one. Its funny because I remember thinking at the time I'll just open 15 caps now to get a head start on the ally coming later but fortunately I have become very untrusting in my old age so I decided I would wait till they put out the ally before I waste my cap unlocks gotten from f2p.

While I didn't get cucked over by this unfinished cap I do think this would really suck for anyone that did open caps expecting to see an ally coming later. It feels like they didn't finish one loot box before putting out the next.

Let this be a lesson when opening caps in DCUO never expect an ally at 25 cap opening until its officially in the game.

StarRail as a PC game kinda takes the P**s.

You know I always thought StarRail played like a ps2 game because it was of the mobile platform limitations. Like you cant even jump and the on rails zones are actually worse then pso 1.

I do enjoy the game but I play tower of fantasy and the quality of the game actually surprised me. I think it plays at atleast a pso2 level maybe even better and its also a mobile game.

I think the main issue is StarRail is made as a mobile game first and then just ported to PC where it seems Tower of Fantasy is a PC first game that has a mobile interface with reduced options. I think StarRail tried to hard to make sure that phone users wouldn't lose out at all not being on a PC and it really shows in that they didn't even think it was worth the effort to code in a jump.

Like not only does Tower of Fantasy have jumping but it has Ariel combat.. As a PC game StarRail is kind of pathetic tbh and it really shows they put the mobile community first.

Don't get me wrong its a decent story so ill probably keep tuning in for that but I don't like the idea of investing in a mobile first platform so I am more then happy to keep f2p.

Warcraft Retail tldr: If your fresh to season 2 PvP do Compstomp this week for a step up on season 2 gear.

Brawl CompStomp is back and Timewalking Pandaria is back this week.

CompStomp I think is good for fresh alts to get them a few PvP pieces before you dive into the random BGs. I had a few alts capped from the last Timewalking event so I been wanting to catch this next time it came around.

I've also been lowkey working on farms for my alts and this Timewalking is good for that.

Warcraft 10.1 pve gearing, as a casual pvp main, feels kind of pointless to learn or engage with.

Personally I prefer when the gearing has a bit crossover so as a pvp player I feel rewarded for doing some side pve content.

Right now it kinda seems like a giant circle jerk of leveling gear to replace it with next tier to level it more. I can't help but think if I skip on pve this patch Ill just save myself a lot of leveling pointless gear soon to be replaced. I am thankful at least I have the option to go for pvp gear and skip the system altogether but I would have preferred a bit of gearing incentive to expand out of my comfort zone.

Star Trek Online cost real money to level guilds and its kind of scamish imo.

It kind of gives me gotcha vibes in that it tricks people that don't want to wait into spending money but instead of for lootbox goods it to level a guild for other people to have a home.

It preys on people that just want to provide a guild home to others and makes them feel like they have to pay money just to provide for others.

It creates a weird dynamic in guilds where you hope people help contribute, the currency they build up for progressing there character, to the guild so you don't need to spend as much real money.

Currently Dilthium is used for almost any character or equipment upgrade cost while also being asked for each guild mission to which you need to do thousands to fully level a guild. Leveling a guild actually makes more things available for purchase like weapons, ships ect ect so you want to do it for access to the meta items.

Dilthium runs 500 per 1 zen and 1000 zen is 10$ usd. Most guild missions take around 64k Dilthium which is 128 zen. So an average guild mission cost $1.28 to complete again you need to do thousands. This however is a tier upgrade and every tab on this list needs 2 tier upgrades so 7 tier upgrades at Tier 2 and Tier 3. The Tier upgrade cost so much I had to screen cap it a make this rant. At 1567500 Dilthium that would 3135 zen or just over $30 usd.

This is one of the main things that disappoints me in STO and I wish they at least make guild dilthium vouchers more of a reward from everything so guild members can feel like they can contribute without crippling there personal progress.

Guardian Games returns with bonus rewards for normal activities (via medals), a new scout to try out (first strand scout) and a 6v6 class based pvp mode.

All in all this year I have been liking the drop rated on new weapons so you can get a bunch of rolls to sort through and the leveling boost is nice for lagging crafted weapons.

The PvP mode is connection based so play in prime time and games are 5050 but play in off hours and you getting dunked on. Still kind of a s**t show but its a fun change of pace. I especially enjoyed playing on my alts and playing against a titan 6 stack lol.

Also the 2 weekly event quest for 200 dust that can be done on each alt is super nice. Remember you can always swap to your main to bank medals even if they come from playing alts.

StarRail story speculation.

I think the stellerons are natural gods and the aeons were humans that took there powers through science. I suspect the people that placed you are also stellerons trying to restore the natural order of the universe.

Perhaps the legion works for the aeons or just a single aeon and is hunting the stellerons to trap them and take there power for there leading aeon.

I find it sus the senior people your with sealed the stelleron while you were not there to see what they did. They also are very vague in what they did. It makes me wonder if maybe they have the trailblaze aeon trapped and are using it as a battery to power the train. I imagine if im right aeon / stelleron wise that anything could trap a stelleron could also trap an aeon.

Star Trek Online has its First Contact event going but it is kind of disappointing.

Usually I don't expect much from this but its still fun to run around building a rocket model as a daily for a change but this year the reward left a bad taste in my mouth and I really haven't been wanting to run the event at all.

I don't even expect much from a reward. One year they had a miner ally you could summon that was garbage and I still grinded it out to celebrate the event.

This year the reward was a set item for a 2 set and the 2nd part to the set is from a 120$(American) pack in the store. I do think it launched with a 30% discount but still. This for me has just made First Contact Day feel like a sad money grab for the people running this game.

Destiny 2 this week was bonus NF rewards for an actually easy nightfall and for the first time I have caught up on masterworking all my armorsets for my main.

People saying they are returning to classic because there is nothing to do in DF and I actually kinda get it.

I returned a few weeks ago on an off grinding weeklies to gear up for 10.1 and honestly after running a few dungeons and raid bosses there isn't much else to do but level alts during 10.7 while we wait.

You got your time walking weekly q of 5 runs and your catalyst daily which is 4 raid bosses and your main is done if your caught up. Its like an evening of content lol.

On 1 hand I have really enjoyed the freedom to dip out and play other games DF brought but on the other hand I really enjoyed the grind of rank in classic and the social competitiveness it brought. I got kicked from a guild on SoM because I wouldn't fall in line on ranks and it was looking back at it an awesome flavorful experience lol.

In WoW everyone always complains about raid mechanics that one shot the group if 1 person makes a mistake.

It was funny to see one in a normal raid for dcuo. Boss would beam a random person and if you don't block, it one shots the group. Did this prob once a min. The normal mode boss took like 20+ wipes in a pug lol.

Dragon Flight Pre Patch event

Retail lore theory:

The Titans are an alien race that transmuted the dragons to make the aspects but I think Raz might be a natural evolution of the dragon kind without titan manipulation.

Some questions:
1) Are we the bad guys fighting to suppress the natives for the laws of space order

2) Did the titans power cap the dragons by making them aspects, sure they gave them order magic but also seemed to have locked them to 1 element stunning there growth where raz if she was natural evolution seems to have all of them.

3) Is the spark of intelligence the main dragons had from old god corruption and is every aspect corrupt at its core from the spark of intelligence "they got" and nef was maybe just more susceptible.

New World Done! .. ish and honestly was a good time. A much larger focus on questing and way more freedom with quick travel made it pretty pain free compared to launch when it was a profession grind fest.

I capped, bought a set of 590+ gear down scaled to 550ish, I got msq upto brimstone done and sunscreen quest.

I'm dipping out for Retail now but I do plan on keep up with faction dailies till I cap my faction. Once I get some downtime from fresh mmo releases I'll circle back for brimstone story since I want to be able to enjoy the story without feeling rushed.

Updates now get numbers so I can keep track.

Retail WoW: ..Uhh I played for like 2 days got another alt to 60 and then took a break.. lol Nov15 is supposed to extend chromie time to 60.

ATM Im having an issue at 50 needing gear to keep spamming dungeons because you need to get 30 ilevels for shadowland. On the 15th this shouldn't be an issue and you can spam 1 expansion to 60 I believe.

New World: I actually jumped back in and had a bunch of fun on fresh. I only made lv29 on launch and I just made it to 30 today on my new alt. I enjoy the focus being around questing now and the new voice acting is pretty good. I want to be 60 next week so I can dip out for retail leveling I think. Maybe play as a casual 60 to see what cap life is like.

BDO: I actually bounced back and have been playing more lately when Im not on New World. I am back on the carrak ship grind and I should be able to finish it in a few weeks if I can keep up on barter resets. Saving for 2 t9s so I can buy them straight up and go for a T10 other then that im just doing the events as a casual.

Prospects: I am feeling the call of Elite Dangerous again and just waiting on the stargoids to bring a new weapon grind but I have a feeling this is how Im spending December. Temtem I would like to beat the game sometime before this year ends, Im about half way. Dcuo I was thinking about blackadam dlc but I might wait for new years char boost to start a new alt.

Classic: I have finished gearing up my first alt and thinking about shelfing alt leveling until a later patch. I had fun but I think I am ready to move on to other things. Ill probably jump back in to do BGs on occasion.

BDO: New season launched on wed and I beat the pass in 3 days. We got magnus coming next week Ill probably look into but after next week I think I might take a month off so I can get returning rewards for December.

Retail: People suspect Dragon Flight prepatch on the 25th. There is an xp boost until then and timewalking starts next week. I am very strongly thinking about returning to retail for next week to grind up alts in timewalking.

Others: I am logging STO for the Halloween event and Destiny2 for the weekly deepsights but those games are on the back burner mostly atm.

Prospects: New World for 2h Sword patch coming, Elite Dangerous if they ever actually get new content to play, Temtem 1.0 launch, DCUO Black Adam patch, Zenith MMO if I ever get my VR set up.

BDO
I have about hit the wall in BDO. I have played the new season, learned about most of the updates, maxed out on ez progression and even watched most videos on the new content to where its hard to find BDO videos I haven't seen.. One thing I like about BDO is there is some really in depth systems that give you something to sink your teeth into and learn but from here I am pretty much just dailies for my boat and afk activities.

The last couple weeks I actually been going more ham on the new Destiny2 season. My main goal was to unlock the crafted handcannon and after about a week and a half of blitzing the new activity I have it. I am about pass rank 40 and enjoyed some Ironbanner grinding while the event was on but I think now I'll just be logging for the weekly quest and weekly deepsights while I am still quite pumped to see the rest of the season story.

Wrath
I have been looking at Wrath prep the last few days and wagering if I want to transfer alts or just wait and see how server pop lands prelaunch. I am strongly considering moving my ally alts to Pagle and have started a lv5 lock there atm to see what it is like. I just don't want to pay for a transfer and want to be on another server or maybe go horde if they bring in faction swaps or maybe then even drop a transfer sale prelaunch. I just don't want to spend before I know so for now I think I may just blitz some lock leveling.

Retail
I am pumped for the new retail expansion but the only thing I really want to do atm is level alts during timewalking, log for weekly world bosses and set up panda farms lol. Maybe jump into some fun brawls when they come around.
