Police have arrested Nipsey Hussle murder suspect, Eric Holder, CBS Los Angeles reports.
The outlet reported that the 29-year-old Holder was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon (April 2), which is just about two days after Nipsey was shot and killed in front of his clothing store, The Marathon, on Sunday (March 31). He was reportedly captured in the L.A. suburb of Bellflower sometime before 1:30 p.m. PST.
In a statement released earlier today, the Los Angeles Police Department explained that Holder reportedly walked up to Hussle and two men who were standing outside of Nipsey's store and shot them multiple times. Holder then ran off and jumped in a 2016 Chevrolet Cruz in the alley. Holder and the unidentified female driver managed to get away, but now police reportedly have him in custody.
At a press conference earlier today, LAPD Chief Michel R. Moore explained what the LAPD believes to be the root of the Nipsey killing.
"At this point of our investigation based on witness statements and the background of those that we've identified, we believe this to be a dispute between Mr. Hussle and Mr. Holder," Moore said at the conference. "I'm not going to go over the conversation, but it appears to be a personal matter between the two."
