Police are looking for witnesses to Monday morning's crash.

Police officers responding to a "check the welfare" call Monday morning for a subject lying on the ground discovered "a person who had lost control of electric bicycle and had struck a nearby tree," according to a statement on Monday night from the Ithaca Police Department.

Officials say the 1500 block of Danby Road, Route 96B south of Ithaca, is closed due to a tree down. The closure is between Muzzy Road and East Miller Road, and is expected to last about an hour. Find another route and avoid the area.

We've learned that the portion of Brown Road from Warren Road to the airport entrance remains open.

Brown Road in Lansing is one of several roads across the region we've learned is closed or partially blocked due to downed tree limbs or wires, and Ithaca Tompkins International Airport officials have confirmed to 14850 Today that the airport remains open and accessible.

Thanks to Paul for letting us know that McLean-Cortland Road is shut down at the five corners near the school due to downed tree limbs and wires, one of several such spots with debris in roadways in the county.

Intersections may be without power across the area, leaving traffic lights out, including Elmira Road (Route 13) and Five Mile Drive (Route 13A) south of Ithaca. Drive carefully and remember to treat any intersections with traffic lights out as an all-way stop!

UPDATE: McLean-Cortland Road has reopened.

There's a tornado warning in effect outside our immediate area, until 4:30pm in southwestern Broome County. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado has passed over Endwell and Endicott, and is near Binghamton and Johnson City.

There are other severe storm watches and warnings across Central New York. Stay aware, drive carefully, and be prepared to take shelter if a warning is issued.

Update: The Missing Child Alert was canceled at 1:04pm Sunday. "The child has been located and is safe," said the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services soon after.

Six-year-old Brayden Rosamino was last seen at the Rotterdam Mall in the Town of Rotterdam, in Schenectady County, early Saturday afternoon. He's believed to be with Dana Rosamino, and they are traveling in a 2018 blue Ford Fiesta with Vermont registration KRX-612.

Avoid the area of South Meadow Street (Route 13 northbound) and West Green Street in Ithaca's west end due to a motor vehicle crash into a house. Officials have said in a SIREN alert that the road is closed, but didn't specify Meadow or Green or both.
