I encounter a tuk tuk driver who offered a “free” ride because he was my “friend” only for me to confront him and have the truth revealed. In the end I gave the man 200 rupees. A local app here in Sri Lanka called PickMe charges 250 rupees for the same trip. If the man had remained honest I would have rewarded him with a generous tip at the end for his hospitality and generosity, however that was not the case.
