Some snaps from my sailing adventure Friday. I went out on the Phantom, owned by Rick and Robin who were great hosts! They explained all the races and different ships racing for the last day of the Millennium Cup Regatta in Russel... it was like an episode of Vikings... sailboats everywhere!!!⛵️🏝⛵️

Visiting the Waitangi Treaty grounds where the Maori chiefs signed a treating with the British on The 6th of February 1840. The flagstaff marks the spot it was signed and was erected in 1947 by the Royal NZ Navy. The Treaty House built for the crowns first representative in NZ James Busby. Finally, the carved meeting house, Te Whare Runanga, was opened on the centennial of the treaty and symbolizes the partnership between the Maori and the British.

Some highlights from my birthday in Auckland... the city of sails ⛵️Started with a redonkulously good breakfast at Odette’s Eatery, followed by a visit to the harbour and the New Zealand Maritime Museum where they have a seriously cool exhibit about the design of racing yachts “Blue Water Black Magic” celebrating Sir Peter Blake and displaying the Black Magic yacht that won the 1995 America’s Cup
