Not everyone feels the same way about the U.K dance
music scene, but it is hard to deny its ability to manifest
new genres, produce ground breaking talent and form
generation defining scenes. Dubstep is one such sound
that has been no exception, in fact it has become a
worldwide phenomenon. Black Gold aims to showcase the freshest producers
within
this ever-expanding genre. Producers that push
the boundaries, take risks and experiment while still
keeping the sound raw and integral to the building
blocks of Dubstep. The Black Gold record label was formed by KUTZ & DJ
PRIMECUTS, through mutual appreciation of Dubstep
and recognition of a new wave of off-key, dancefloor filling
sounds within the scene. These are two heavyweight artists that have been activley
involved in the scene for many years. Kutz has released
his own animalistic style of Dubstep through seminal
lables such as Soul Jazz, Wheel n’ Deal and Sub Freq as
well as annually touring the globe providing energetic and
flawless DJ sets. DJ Primecuts is from the infamous
Scratch Perverts, making him a world champion DJ and
an internationally celebrated master of the turntables. Together their intention with Black Gold is to provide fans
with finely produced, bespoke dance music that will be
worth its weight in years to come.
