‼️‼️ Topic of the night ‼️‼️

I came across this thought because I had a conversation with one of my guy friends about what attracts a man. After listening to him I have finalized my thoughts on this topic.

I’m speaking to my black women. I’m happy that white women’s bodies are evolving because black women have become accustomed to prioritizing their physical appearance over their mentality. We continue to become comfortable sexualizing ourselves to achieve pop cultures social acceptance. We continue to use our bodies to advance in a “mans world” while denying we need one. We deny that we do not need a man but constantly enhance and glorify our bodies to attract one. All this demand for bigger butts has caused us to loose sight of how to receive respect for our personality.

We rather advertise our bodies than our personality and great character. It has become a trend of this generation to find beauty in your derrière than in your personal qualities. It has become a trend to workout to grow your butt than to implement a healthy lifestyle. This thought process has become so toxic that we are show the world that our butts are the center focus of who we are.

Now that white women and other non black women’s bodies are matching ours, black women must seek value in something other than our curves.

Vote. Vote. Vote. ☑️ @ Montgomery County, Maryland

06/06/2018

☑️ Don’t forget to vote in your state’s Primary elections! ‼️Maryland’s primaries are June 26th. I am currently volunteering for Will Jawando for Montgomery County Council, and it has been an amazing experience so far. I was able to speak to people about why I support him and even educate people on his political background. I listen in discussions about concerns of the communities and here his approach to each issue.

I encourage everyone to learn about the candidates you are voting for, especially your local candidates who directly affect your community. ‼️

Here is one reason why I support Will Jawando which can be found on his website. He valises quality education for every child. ☑️

“No matter where in Montgomery County our families live, all our children deserve a high quality education. I aim to close opportunity and achievement gaps, reduce class size, expand career and technical education, and invest in wrap around services that help students before and after school. For instance, last summer I created and led Summer R.I.S.E., the county’s largest summer youth career exploration program. I am proud to have the endorsement of the Montgomery County Education Association.”

Sometimes when no one has the courage to publicly stand for what is right, you might have to be the first one to do it. ❤️❤️

Last Monday, was the day Starbucks closed to enforce their racial bias training and on that same day I went to two local Starbucks to ensure they were participating in the training. Then I stood on the corner of one of the busiest roads in Loma Linda, CA to stand up for what I believe in. I held up a sign stating “I support Starbucks” and “I kneel to end police brutality.”
✊🏾✊🏾

I did this to prove a point, that we might agree in silence but until we are willing to unite publicly there will never be a drastic change in this society. “There comes a time when silence is betrayal” -MLK ✊🏾✊🏾

We must have the courage to stand for what is right and stand against what is wrong in public. We must not let racist people feel comfortable to voice their hate in public and stay silent to it. Let us follow the example of the CEO of Starbucks and show this country that we are against racism and we will stand against it publicly. We will unite together to publicly voice our beliefs. ✊🏾✊🏾

Thank you for the people who honked their horns in support. Thank you for the people who stood next to be to say I’m doing a good job. Thank you for the people who engaged in the conversation while I stood on that street corner. Thank you for the people who read the signs. And thank you for the people who continue to stand against racism. ✊🏾✊🏾 ⏰⏰

"There's an issue that needs to be addressed and needs to have, not only just a conversation within the Yale community, but a nationwide conversation. When is the black person allowed to just be in spaces?" cnn.it/2G7vgWU

Yes you can be pro black and still date outside of your race!!! You can not exclude people from supporting a movement just because they don’t lol the same as you. You are creating division and you are just as corrupt as those who started the division. You can pro black and still love a white woman or man. As long as your spouse supports your views and values. However If you only seek to be romantic with non black individuals then you are not pro black, if you degrade, insult, or mistreat black women or men who are not pro black. This goes for all the rappers who degrade black women or me in their music. 💯💯

Pro black is a mindset that supports, promotes, and celebrates black culture and it is not a segregated movement.
💯💯

This page blocked me from addressing this issue because I was supporting unity and not division. I am pro black and I support those who share that same mindset does not matter what color they are. We must have a common ground and not be far left or far right. I did not insult anyone, I was stating the facts and was blocked from doing so. 💯💯

This page is promoting division and hatred, these two will never have positive outcomes. We must encourage non black people to support and empathize with our community. If we seclude ourselves nothing will ever be accomplish. 💯💯

Also yes Dr. King did say he regretted integration, but that was only because of the mistreatment that came with it. If we unite with those who have the same positive mindset as us then we will always accomplish success. 💯💯

Thank you again for your generosity and blessings!”

This is a perfect response to the situation! It’s extremely important for President McVay to publicly address the issue by educating those who are unaware of black face and showing empathy towards the students who were affected by this degrading picture. Thank you President McVay! This is how we should tackle racism and discrimination within the Adventist Church. I pray every Adventist academy or institution who may encounter incidents dealing with racism and discrimination will approach the situation as you did.

This morning at our weekly campus-wide assembly, President McVay spoke to our university family about how we care for each other.

Today we are recognizing the great Dr. King. Martin Luther King Jr. remains frozen in time for many Americans. Seared into our consciousness is the man who battled Southern segregation.

We see him standing before hundreds of thousands of followers in the nation’s capital in 1963, proclaiming his dream for racial harmony. We see him marching, arms locked with fellow protesters, through the battleground of Alabama in 1965.

But on the 50th anniversary of his death, it is worth noting how his message and his priorities had evolved by the time he was shot on that balcony at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis in 1968. Dr. King was confronting many challenges that remain with us today.

He was battling racism in the North then, not just in the South. He was pushing the government to address poverty, income inequality, structural racism and segregation in cities like Boston and Chicago. He was also calling for an end to a war that was draining the national treasury of funds needed to finance a progressive domestic agenda.

Hey beautiful people! I apologize for the two day late post. The WiFi was not working for me and my video would not post Saturday and yesterday. ☹️☹️☹️☹️Thank you for your patience!

This poem is called “Another Cop got off Again!” By Aaliyah Payton. This poem represents my frustration and anger towards this cycle of not guilty verdicts. I am tired of seeing an individual who is supposed to serve and protect abuse their power to kill innocent black men and women. We must move past protests and contact the department directly and demand those corrupt cops be fired! We must do it in unity. ⏰⏰‼️‼️‼️‼️

Praying that these students receive the appropriate disciplinary consequence for this racist and discriminatory action. Your institution should never allow this to represent your university. This is a misguided representation of Chrsitian values. “United we stand, Dived we fall” Let’s stand against racism.

30/03/2018

I decided to comment on several pictures on Instagram page to ensure that this incident is taken seriously. You must speak up against whats wrong and stand for what’s right. Especially as believers. “There comes a time when silence is a betrayal.” - Dr. MLK Jr. Thank you for your response. I will continue to look out for updates and share this information.

Each and every Wednesday I will be posting an inspirational quote from leader who had a positive impact on history and culture. ✊🏾❤️ Today we are recognizing Naomi Wadler, an 11-year-old who organized a walk-out at George Mason Elementary School on March 14, said she was there “to acknowledge and represent the African American girls whose stories don’t make the front page of every national newspaper” — girls like Courtlin Arrington, a teenager killed by another student in Alabama on March 7, whom Naomi mentioned in her speech. ✊🏾⏰⏰ ❤️❤️❤️
