Second book in the inferno series catalogues Keishaโs adventures as she embarks on another journey.
Keisha learns how to overcome the 8th element, practice her aura while traversing the Antรจ trail and finally defeat her enemy, Guerra.
I adore how the story is mostly dialogue based, makes it easy to digest and also adds an emotive aspect to it.
Keishaโs relationship with her friends and family is wonderfully developed. The story building is done well and the characters are also written with finesse.
A great book for people who are starting out with fantasy.
The second book is definitely better than the first one in terms of maturity of plot and writing style. The author has definitely put extra effort in this one.
The importance of sticking together and braving things is a great lesson that is taught in the story.
(P.s The chapter names were pretty cute.)

Arms wide asunder ; a fictional story about East India Company when they came to the subcontinent.
I love how the chapters are named; treachery, lust and plunder, mystical dreams and especially โthe meek do not inheritโ based upon the themes they cover. There is no good story without betrayal and boy was this book full of it.
The flow of the story is great which makes the writing seem even better. One can never get into a story without coherence. I got to know some French words like โ toute ร lโheure (see you later) thanks to Fleur.
There are a lot of characters no doubt about that but the initial guide is very helpful in getting to know their lineage.
Also, getting a harry potter quote mention? Yes please.
The book is well researched and is purely a work of fiction despite having bits of history thrown as stated by the author in the authorโs note.Heโs done a commendable job at it๐

Wow, what a detailed guide on acting this book was.I never knew people did so much working behind every scene in acting, maybe every form of art has its perks after all.
From Stanislavskiโs tips to Strasbergโs tension, relaxation and concentration techniques everything was jus amazing.
Nickolsonโs theory of understanding the environment and the wants of character was pretty informative.Iโm sure this guide is a โmust-haveโ for every aspiring actor/ newbie.
There are tips on working on every syllable and doing repetition exercises, focusing more on understanding the scene instead of memorizing it.
โNo actor wastes time by coming on set having planned the sceneโs actions even down to the smallest gestures and movements that make up a character. Those choices are always made with the understanding that it is up to the director to either accept them or change them.โ
The author asks actors to not lose the human connection while acting and make it seem as effortless as they can. They can only do so by trying to justify all actions. The concept of โMusical dynamicsโ was pretty interesting to read.
Lastly, ending the book by asking the fellow actors to smash the concept of perfection was a cherry on top ๐

๐Qotd: Your favourite non fiction book?
Itโs not a caterpillar; a guide to self realization and success by The priest king is an amazing book about knowing your worth and learning to battle harsh patches in your life๐
The author explains using the example of a caterpillar who is going to metamorphose into a butterfly one day. There are hints of hope optimism in every line and one canโt help but get motivated while reading it.
I love how the book addresses imposter syndrome since I havenโt read many books that have raised this issue.
We are told to put efforts in our work but the author aska us to put effort in our โhappinessโ only then weโll be able to enjoy the harvest of our hardwork.Wow.
The book not only enables readers to get to know themselves but also helps them to take the plunge and undertake the much needed journey of self reflection.Being in tune with oneโs personality and innermost thoughts is extremely important and this is reiterated time and again.
Also, thereโs another concept that enamoured my heart ; โOvercoming not only the mud but the muddy mentality.โ
Loved the way the book was written, I wish the chapters were shorter , they would have been more impactful in that way. Also, there were a few mistakes which Iโm sure will be corrected in no time if itโs revised.

Sometimes the beach by Ronald J. Fontenot is a super-cute short book that consists of pretty illustrations of the beach during different times and phases; when the sun is at itโs peak, when itโs setting, when the moon is lit and shining to the best of its ability and when the atmosphere is stormy.
Another childrenโs book that I adored because of the illustrations.61 pages full of joy and wholesomeness ๐

๐qotd: your favourite fantasy book?
Every fantasy story that I come across has that one โchosenโ protagonist that is always unsure about him/herself but everybody is so cocksure about their supernatural powers that they end up saving the world from doom in the end.The plot is always predictable but the worldbuilding and characters is what makes people fall in love with them.Although fantasy isnโt my genre of choice but I liked reading Sarah Strykar and the Scorching Fire.
I loved Sarahโs relationship with her family and friends but it got repetitive a few times(Amy was an absolute sweetheart)
The gory details about mutilation, rape and torture by the serpents made me sick to my stomach.I wish the writer had done away with them.
I enjoyed the training scenes of Sarah with her master, powering up scenes of the characters are always enjoyable to read.I wish the book had been shorter since it got boring and redundant in the middle.

The purpose of life; to love and to create is a wonderful book about our purpose of existence as the title suggests. The author contradicts the concept of โabsurdismโ put forward by Camus and other authors that deem life as something tedious.
The author explores different themes like love and creativity with great finesse with the aid of references .The book did seem a bit essay like because of the number of quotes but the concept was thought provoking so it made it worthwhile.
I am big on authors pressing on the theme of looking at creativity in a bigger picture instead of considering it as something one is inherently born with so it was very refreshing to read his views.

~2 sisters, 2 stories
As the name suggest, itโs a story of two sisters Zelah and Edna.I loved how they narrated each and everything about their childhood.I found Zelahโs story was pretty inspirational.I was drawn to her the moment she revealed she suffered from speech problems during childhood. She worked against all odds and worked hard to become good at orating. Her memorizing ability heped het get 100 percent result, a score that was deemed unusual at that time esp for a girl.
It was also interesting to read the step by step procedure of shelling kernels mentioned in the short notes for elaboration.
Overall, a short and interesting readโจ

The Child โจ
From conception to marriage, what can a father say to his child growing into honorable adulthood? While some of these key milestones cant be conveyed to the child for practical reasons, the fathers love remains, deep and enduring.ย
In The Child, author Clay Romero shares his words of love and encouragement for his child. He offers a universal message, one that applies regardless of birthplace, hometown, or circumstances. Good fathers wish to see their children have success and happiness and carry on the family heritage, hopefully setting the standard of excellence higher than the generation before. These verses seek to touch the hearts of those yearning to have children.
Uplifting and heartwarming, this poem considers a childs life from its earliest stages into full adulthood and celebrates a fathers lifelong love for his child.
A fathers pride
And a mothers joy
Was born this blessed day.
We count your toes and clear your nose.
Were thankful Moms okay.

This is the first instalment of the Rondure chronicles and itโs such a happening read. Tristen and his best friend Corey are the main characters/heroes of the book. Tristen is autistic and so is the author. Alex Potter has developed the character of Tristen based on his current condition. Similarly, almost all the characters in this book are developed based on the people in the authorโs real life. Tristen was living a miserable life as a loser until one day everything changes and he becomes the hero of an entirely different world. The author has nicely used Tristenโs autism as a superpower rather than a failure. Tristen starts believing in himself and gains a lot of strength, confidence and power through his journey. He and his best friend Corey are able to defeat the bad guys through teamwork. I like how the author focuses on Tristen and Coreyโs friendship instead of enforcing intimate and romantic scenes (too mainstream). The author has put a lot of thought and effort into the characters, especially the villains. The names of the villains are different yet strongly resonate with their personalities. Some of the annoying things are the repetitive hardships faced by Tristen, extensive details and extended scenes, spelling and grammatical errors, and lastly the versatility of the characters (itโs hard to remember so many names and roles altogether). Overall, itโs a thrilling and spellbinding story. Iโm sure autistic kids as well as adults will enjoy reading it. This book gives hope and motivation to the autistics to believe in themselves, never listen to negative thoughts and never let anyone bring them down.

This book is a masterpiece. Itโs so brilliantly written, the execution is smooth and thereโs a compel and pace in the story. Thereโs no single dull moment in it; itโs filled with thrill, joy, excitement, sorrow and sadness. It has heartbreak, loss, war and most importantly forgiveness after all the hurt and suffering. Itโs a story of a Princess; Elika who runs away after her mother dies because the whole kingdom bursts into chaos and bloodshed. Sheโs surviving on so little; sheโs responsible for stealing gold from different people of different places while her brother; Silas is responsible for hunting some creature everyday from the forest for their dinner. Itโs hard for them to get through but they make wonderful friends and meet many new people on their exiled journey. Elika has Ash, Kea, Bryn and Theo, who are there with her to support and protect her. This book has many twists and turns throughout and the plot is gripping. It has a few grammatical errors and some missing words but the greatness of the story compensates for that. It ends on a cliffhanger and there are still a few questions that are unanswered so Iโm looking forward to the next instalment (I hope there is one). Overall, a good and enjoyable read - highly recommended!

The story is about a little girl who's worried about her elder sister. Her elder sister is ill, so she has to visit hospital often. โค๏ธLittle girl cheers up her sister with her imaginations about them going to visit bouncy clouds, meeting the fairy queen and enjoying magical snacks.โญ

Mind-blowing!
What a roller coaster ride, jam-packed with different elements and subject matters like time travelling, artificial intelligence, cyborgs, arts, history and religion!
The year is 2112 and the earth is no longer sustainable for life. The United Nations Authority came to know if Dr. Ben Richards had not been assassinated in 2017, the world would not be dying today. They sent a shapeshifter cyborg, Merisi, to protect and help Dr Ben Richards to bring his plan of building wind harnessing power generation system to fruition. Dr. Ben's project threatens the monopoly of GIATCOM, a nuclear power generation corporation so they sent Shui Feng, an AI android, from the future to counter Dr. Richard's plan. Dr. Richard is accompanied by a gorgeous reporter, Grazia Rossini, who is not only intrigued by his research but also concerned for his safety. She added a nice romantic touch with an air of mystery to the story but my favourite character is Merisi and I would like to call him the guardian angel of Dr. Ben Richards.
This book gave me Terminator 2 vibes and I could vividly picture Arnold Schwarzenegger and Robert Patrick playing the roles of Merisi and Shui Feng, respectively.
The author did a brilliant job in flawlessly combining the aspects of science, history and religion to create this unputdownable sci-fi thriller. Thank you author for the powerful doze of infotainment. I not only enjoyed reading this book but also learned some new information that has piqued my interest like renewable sources of energy and SATOR Square.
