KUSINA NG TALINGHAGA | Eight "Filipino poems," coined by the qualified advisers and students of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University were featured and published in a national book dubbed "VERBO: Kusina ng Talinghaga," at Intramuros Manila recently.

The delegates were from the Batsilyer ng Sining sa Filipino of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) headed by Dean Professor Jocelyn P. Remoto.

MASTS 2023 | Over 70 performers from Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University to compete in the upcoming Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools (MASTS) - Socio-Culture and Arts Competition in Cotabato Province from November 22 - 25, this year.

ZPPSU and MASTS President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral is hopeful to emerge victorious in this prestigious event among other State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the Mindanao archipelago.

Gracing the event with their inspirational messages were Director for Physical Education Department Dr. Ma. Cristina Wee, Socio-cultural and Arts Director Jessamine Andajao, Sports Director Dexter Paclibar, and mentors in respective socio cultural fields. (JRA/Photos: JBM)

The College Supreme Student Council (SSC) organised the BATTLE OF THE BAND and MUSICAL PARTY 2023. This event held on November 11, 2023 on the Covert Court of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University. A lot of groups of ZPPSU students who take part in the event. To demonstrate their abilities in singing and playing musical instruments.

DISASTERS ARE UNPREDICTABLE | In compliance with the 4th Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill across the country, Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) actively participated in the event to reinforce the do’s and don’ts during natural emergencies, held at the ZPPSU open area today, November 09.

The ZPPSU community, encompassing teaching and non-teaching staff as well as students, took part in the duck, cover, and hold exercise, in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO).

The ZPPSU-DDRMO expertly spearheaded the event under the stipend supervision of Dr. Michael Cabiles and his team. Their primary focus was to ensure the university’s overall preparedness and safety in the face of potential disasters. (JRA/Photo:ABC)

Blessing, Unveiling, and Turnover Ceremony, College of Arts and Humanities and Social Science Building will be formally dedicated to our former Mayor Maria Clara L. Lobregat contribution in the change of Zamboanga City Polytechnic College on October 24, 2023.

Celso Lobregat the former mayor son was one of the delegates during the ceremony. The ordinance that led to the renaming of ZCSPC into Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University was led in Congress by Celso L. Lobregat, the father of ZPPSU.

ZPPSU MILESTONE | The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University proudly unveiled the three-story Maria Clara Lobregat Building and the four-story Senator Edgardo Angara Building earlier today.

University President, Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, presided over the occasion. In his keynote address, he underscored the importance of maintaining the new facilities and reiterated that education is an ongoing process that should never stop.

The ceremony commenced with a blessing officiated by Rev. Fr. Filmore Calibo. This was followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Dr. Cabral and accompanied by the Honorable Celso Lobregat.

Other distinguished attendees included esteemed Board of Regents members - Hon. Dr. Mario Ariola, Hon. Victor Liezo, Hon. Dr. Emylou Yanga, and Hon. Dr. Rodel Agbulos - as well as the President of 3VC Construction Inc., Engineer Ladislao Darunday, and his staff. Additionally, ZPPSU Officials, Directors, Deans, Faculty, and Staff were present.

The aforementioned buildings are to be utilized by the College of Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences and the College of Engineering Technology, respectively.

All campuses of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) will have a week-long mental health break for all university students and employees on October 31, November 03 and 04, this year.

ZPPSU Sports Festival 2023 Concludes with a Spectacular Closing Ceremony.

The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) Sports Festival Champions were recently recognized and celebrated for their extraordinary athletic abilities and unwavering sportsmanship during a memorable closing and awarding ceremony at the ZPPSU Gymnasium on October 23rd.

On this momentous day of recognition, Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, the University President expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event.
Dr. Cabral extended his appreciation to Dr. Maria Christina Wee, the director of the Department of Physical Education, and Prof. Dexter Paclibar, the ZPPSU Sports Director, for their invaluable contributions. He also thanked the Office of Senator Angara and the Zamboanga LGU, headed by Hon. Mayor Jhon Dalipe, for their unwavering support.

Furthermore, Dr. Cabral expressed his gratitude to the working committee, coaches, athletes,staff, and utilities who played a vital role in making the event a resounding success.

This closing and awarding ceremony not only celebrated the outstanding achievements of the champions but also served as a reminder of the power of sports to unite and inspire. It was a testament to the values of teamwork, resilience, and fair play that were upheld throughout the sports festival.

The College of Engineering and Technology was hailed as the Overall Champion, along with the Senior High School ranking as the 1st Runner Up and the College of Teacher Education ranking as the 2nd Runner Up.

ZPPSU Sports Festival 2023 Closing Ceremony

The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) Sports Festival champions recently recognized and celebrating the memorable closing ceremony at ZPPSU Gymnasium on October 23,2023.

Dr. Nelson P. Cabral expressed his warmful gratitude for the contribution to the success of the said event.

The College of Engineering and Technology was the overall champion, along with the Senior High School is the 1st runner up and The College of Teacher Education was the 2nd runner up.

The closing and awarding ceremony celebrated the achievements of the champion for their teamwork and sportmanship.

10.24.2023 || Unveiling Ceremony of the Mayor Maria Clara L. Lobregat Building in honor of the former mayor's contribution in the conversion of the Zamboanga City Polytechnic College into Zamboanga City Polytechnic State College.

The ceremony was witnessed, among other guests, by the former mayor's son Hon. Celso L. Lobregat (Father of ZPPSU) who also shepherd the bill in congress which led to the transition of the ZCSPC into Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University.

This building is a sign of our gratitude to the significant contributions of the Lobregats in the development of this institution into a state college and now a state university.

With Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, Dean Jocelyn P. Remoto, the whole CAHSS students, faculty and staff remain grateful to you Hon. Celso L. Lobregat and to your mother Mayor Maria Clara L. Lobregat!

The Office of the University President declares October 28 to November 5, 2023, as University-wide Mental Health Break. The implementation of a week-long academic break is to provide all Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University constituents with much-needed rest following the series of activities conducted by the University.

Hence, there shall be no synchronous and asynchronous classes - or class activities during the period above.

WILL RISE❗| A ceremonial groundbreaking rite of the rubberized track oval facility with mini-grandstand - Phase 1 was held at the ZPPSU open field today, October 19.

The construction of the said facility is worth almost thirty-nine million pesos, which was sponsored by our beloved Senator Juan Edgardo "Sonny" Angara to the university.

Thus, it was awarded last September 11, 2023, and procured through public bidding.

The signing of the contract was also held between ZPPSU President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral and Zamboanga 3VC Construction Incorporated (contractor) President Engr. Ladeslao S. Darunday.

This facility aims to create a better, more comfortable, and healthier future for both students and employees.

Ceremonia de Groundbreaking ya conduci este dia, 19 de Octubre 2023 para con el proyecto de Rubberized OVAL TRACK y MINI GRANDSTAND (Phase 1) del Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) con valor de Php 39 million. El contractor de este es el 3VC Construction, que amo tambien el presentamente contractor na cuantos maga proyectos del universidad. Este proyecto ya realiza porcausa na ayuda desde con Senador Sonny Angara y esfuerzo del Presidente del ZPPSU, Dr. Nelson P. Cabral.

Este desarollo es ta cementa con el Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University como el primer universidad na Ciudad de Zamboanga para tiene un rubberized Oval Track con Mini Grandstand. Kudos na ZPPSU por este desarollo! 🎉

Este tambien el aca-cuatro (4th) Oval Track na entero ciudad despues el Joaquin F. Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex Oval Track, Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial Highschool (DPLMHS) Oval Track y Mercedes Central School Oval Track.
