While people with children can technically apply, you won't find a playroom here.

A developer is targeting dual-income, no-kid couples with a luxury building in Park Slope.

Little Caribbean is home to the largest Caribbean-American-LatinX community outside of the West Indies, where you'll also find various restaurants serving traditional-style food and some playing on culinary conventions.

"The best part about these restaurants is that while they welcome everybody, they’re cooking, first and foremost, for their people, so you know they have to come correct," writes Lesley Enston.

Since opening its doors in the 1920s, Lundy's has been a staple in Sheepshead Bay, serving up to 2,600 guests at any given time. After shutting down nearly 20 years ago, the beloved old-school seafood restaurant is set to reopen in Red Hook.

Sandra Snyder is at the helm of the reopening, having close ties to the establishment as it was one of the first date spots she and her husband dined at in the early 2000s.

More on the opening and menu highlights can be found here:

After getting locked up for 21 years for a murder he didn’t commit, Derrick Hamilton’s efforts to unearth the truth about his case led to the discovery of 20+ other wrongful convictions.

Families and Friends of the Wrongfully Convicted, an organization he co-founded, advocates for criminal justice reform, provides legal support for people they believe are wrongfully convicted, and directly supports those released from prison after being wrongfully incarcerated.

“I’m from Brooklyn, the home of Biggie Smalls and Jay-Z. It’s big for me, for my borough to acknowledge the work that I’ve done,” says the Bed-Stuy native, one of the recipients of the Joe and Clara Tsai Foundation’s Social Justice Fund and Brooklyn Org’s second annual Just Brooklyn Prize.
