I LOVE teaching! I knew in kindergarten I was gonna be a teacher when I “growed up.” I knew my freshman year of high school that I wanted to teach high school mathematics after college. So I made it a goal to get my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and minor in secondary education and fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher! I did THAT…even graduated Magna Cum Laude, all while raising an infant. I was so proud of myself.
Fast forward 8 years.
I was a single, overworked and underpaid High School Math teacher with 3 children to feed! My $39,000 annual salary was not cutting it on my own. So I decided to take the leap of faith and try something new!
I literally asked “Hey Alexa, what industry produces the largest number of millionaires?” FINANCIAL SERVICES was at the top of the list. So, after some research, I set off with a goal to to get my Life Insurance license and become an independent broker.
I got my license, ON THE FIRST TRY, in the spring of 2019. I was so happy to be starting a new exciting chapter of my life….INDEPENDENT BROKER BABY!!!
There are so many things I have learned about myself and about the Life Insurance industry since 2019.
