[Derek here...] Given that ABBA is releasing new music for the first time in 40 years, my mind generated a playlist of songs with ABBA harmonies (hello Max Martin), ABBA melodic arcs and quotations, and other ABBA musical samples and references, interspersed with the real thing. As there may be some that still have not heard the news, it is with great sadness that I inform you of Alyson's untimely passing last Thursday, May 23, 2013. All of those who were lucky enough to have known Alyson Sklar and counted her as a friend can attest to her talents for music and design, her intelligence, her humor, and her warmth. She brought joy to this world and was a creative partner to me in both the old radio show as well as professionally in our interior design collaboration...not to mention, a terrific friend. My heart goes out to her husband Max and their young son Kai. In retrospect, and to illustrate just how stimulating and fun Alyson was, over the next week I will attempt to post links to download some of our goofy old radio shows from the summers of 2010 and 2011.
