The journey of the 3blackgeeks podcast has been a long time coming. 12+ years in the making. What started with us doing one show weekly barely cracking 100 downloads trying to figure out who we were, morphed over time into a podcast network of 6 shows and getting over75,000 downloads a month.
The foundation and uniqueness of the 3BG podcast is that
we’re 3 friends who have a passion for the topics we talk about and are all about having fun in the process.
Our goal is to create content that educates, entertains, and keeps
people coming back for more. The authenticity of the show is what makes our content solid in delivery.

Author Montrez lives in the moody Midwest with her husband and three sons. Inspired by superheroes, anime, and an eclectic mix of literature, she is passionate about creating fantastical worlds full of heart, heroics, and Black Girl Power.
She is also committed to helping other authors and creatives bring their stories to life. She has worked as a developmental editor, consultant, and is currently the Co-Editor-In-Chief of Konkret Comics, a Glyph Award-winning, Black-owned comic book publishing company.

William Maye (Will B. Watchin)
Will Maye, professionally known as Will B. Watchin’ of Mayehem Media, is a versatile creative talent. His early passion for storytelling led him to study creative writing and journalism in college. He later shifted focus to audio production, mentored by 2-time Academy Award winner Russell Williams II, where he discovered the impact of sound design. This blend of writing, visuals, and audio shaped his creative approach, valuing emotional resonance over financial success.
Will is a mental health advocate, podcaster, audio engineer, and aspiring screenwriter. In his emerging career, he has interviewed notable figures like Carl Jones, Chen Tang, Aliyah Royale, and Kenan Thompson. Currently, he brings his talents to the Press Corp of Blerd Station.
He is also a staff writer for PureFandom.com, co-host/on-screen talent for the Blerd's Eyeview Podcast, and serves as the Senior Web Developer and Editor-in-Chief of BlerdsEyeview.org.

Flonora Merritt is an advisor for Friendship News Network (FNN) at Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, DC. A 2008 salutatorian of Friendship Collegiate High School, she returned to elevate FNN. In high school, she was the editor-in-chief of Rated-T magazine, transitioning it to digital media.
Merritt is a self-taught photographer and video editor who has been teaching journalism, photography, and video production for nine years. Her students' work has appeared in school yearbooks, the FNN website (codefnn.com), and Afro.com.
She launched a YouTube channel with nearly 500 subscribers and, during the COVID pandemic, produced a documentary on DC gentrification, "Fading Color," with a $30,000 grant. The film premiered in October 2022 at the Kennedy Center and is available on codefnn.com.
Merritt also founded Noir Neon VibesNoir Neon Vibes, a digital publication amplifying Black and q***r voices, featuring two podcasts (Neon Mic and Virtual Road Rage), a newsletter (NNV Catch Up), and a photo blog at noirneonvibes.org.

Manny Jacinto reveals he is currently working with Filipino writers and producers to develop projects.
“Maybe it’s my lack of faith in this industry, but the people of color who find success, I feel like they still have to work at it and continue to fight for roles. The people I look up to, if you look at Steven Yeun, or Kumail Nanjiani, or even Donald Glover—they all had to, in some shape or form, create [projects for themselves] in order to continue to have a platform. Or even look at Dev Patel! He’s a huge star, but he had to make Monkey Man himself [to get an action role like that], and that was even shelved at one point. That's crazy to me. So that's why I have this caution towards whether or not the industry will move things forward for my career. If anything, it fuels me to try and create things on my own terms and hopefully lead projects that way.”
