I’ve progressed from being the mum 👩🏻 on the school 🏫 run in Lycra dressed for the gym, to being the grandma 👩🏻🦳 ready for any activity dressed in sportswear.
And perhaps one day I will be the great grandma 👵🏻 in activewear, playing with my great grandchildren.

I was sitting in this very spot, on a warm evening in June, when I received the sad news a fellow fitness professional and friend had passed away.

🎬 The biggest benefit of videoing your workout is the ability to review, assess, and perfect your technique
🎬 Sometimes how we imagine we are moving, and how we are actually moving, are very different!
🎬 A video can help you identify any issues, and correct form where necessary
🎬 You don’t have to share the video online but keeping it as a reference for yourself may be helpful
A few etiquette rules on videoing in a public gym
🎬 People who are exercising always take priority over anyone videoing
🎬 Try to record at quieter times
🎬 Be aware tripods can be a trip hazard
🎬 If people are in the background, ask permission before sharing online

🧊Women over 50 are at increased risk of developing a frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis).
😰It’s a very painful condition, leading to a restriction in range of movement.
🚫Every day activities, like doing up a bra, and putting a jacket on, become torturous.
✅A long looped band is a handy training tool, and these exercises are a great way to support healthier shoulders. Spend a minute on each exercise to maintain a good range of movement in your shoulders, strengthen them, and address rounded shoulders.
⚠️ Unfortunately if you already have a frozen shoulder these exercises may not be possible. Always seek an assessment as early intervention may prevent a worsening of your condition.
☝🏻You’ll find more information about rehab from frozen shoulder in my workouts highlights icon. I’ve had three shoulder surgeries but what’s right for me may not be right for you. Always seek a medical opinion if you are concerned about a shoulder joint.
