PEACE WON on December 8th 1971.

After the brutal murder of peacemaker, Black Benjie, in the Bronx, The Ghetto Brothers held a summit at the Hoe Avenue Boys Club.

Over 50 gangs showed up and ironed out a peace treaty… the rest as they say, is Hip Hop!

That was 52 years ago today. We honor the conviction and courage it took to make the tough choices that deescalated a violence-first mentality. Paving the way for art & culture to flourish.

No Peace. No Hip Hop.

It was incredible to bring a night of inspiration, hope and peace through discussion to the hallowed stage of the Clive Davis Theater, at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.
