With less than 20 days until I’ll be back in Montana. I eagerly relive memories crudely captured in a blur one year ago. Being able to ride the rollercoaster of adrenaline that is elk hunting is something that has changed my life. I couldn’t help but piece this video together in hope to get your blood pumping and your hair to stand up. September is a incredible month, I’m so happy I can be apart of it.

In the summer of 2014 I heard the most incredible words of wisdom explode out of the mouth of my Drill Sergant at Fort Brenning Georgia. As we laid on our backs, legs extended in the swimmers plank we held them out and listened to our Drills Sergant scream at the top of his lungs and say: ——————————————
“Men, become complacent and something in your life will die. Complacency takes whatever is functioning properly and slowly lets it die out.”

I remind myself daily of those words of wisdom. Your health; it gradually diminishes. Your relationships; bonds are slowly lost between your friends and loved ones. Your work; will become repetitive, thus dulling life. It’s important to strive to make everything you do in a day better than it was yesterday because you fear nothing but the dying a complacent man.

The biggest lie society could ever tell you is that you need to plan out your future.—————————————————
At 18 years old society expects us to riffle off our future major, graduation date and future job. You should know your benefits and salary and should understand that working after college until retirement is expected. The ages of 18-26 are the years where you are forced to find out what makes you happy and what you can tolerate. These years for me have been filled with living in the moment, adapting fast and understanding that you will be okay down the road. And knowing that there is always a job for you if you work hard enough for it.
—————————————————-I’ve learned that "living for the moment" isn't a sign of irresponsibility. But really an understanding that only you can control the controllable things in life. In no way do I have it figured out however, I know that you do not have to know where you are going in life. You just need to keep moving.

I will always be searching for the words to describe how thankful and blessed I am to call this woman mine. Kenzie you continue to support me and believe in me through the busiest and craziest times of my life. We are lucky to catch a few days a month together but when we do we make the most of them and the moments and memories spent with you is what keeps me driving on when I’m on the road. You are strong and are following your dreams and I couldn’t be more proud of you for staying true to who you are and your faith. I love you
