Toyota South Africa has confirmed arrival of Toyota Fortuner GR-Sport in March 2025 with its power of 2.8-litre, four-cylinder turbodiesel unit produces 165 kW and 550 N.m of torque, the latter available from 1 600 to 2 800 r/min. The Fortuner GR-S’s sticker price includes a nine services/90 000 km service plan and a warranty spanning three years or 100 000 km. The price will start at 999 000.

The all-new Volkswagen Tiguan has arrived in South Africa. The new vihecle is optioned with 20-inch alloys, a panoramic sunroof, a trailer hitch, an infotainment with wireless apple CarPlay and android auto while the digital drivers display features various configurable views. It starts from R766 300 and I’ve spent the day sampling the 1.4L R-Line Plus 110kW/250nm and paired to the 7-speed DSG.

BMW South AFrica unveiled the new X3 that will be locally built.
This is the top M50 variant, it is powered by a 3.0L 6-cylinder B58 engine that is now enhanced with a 48v mild-hybrid system. It delivers 293 kW and 580 Nm of torque.
0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

The coupe SUV segment is taking over and it is here to stay. BMW SA showcased its new impressive X2 joining its rivals, Audi Q3 Sportback, Mercedes GLC Coupe and Alfa Romeo Tonale. Its direvatives are X2 sdrive, 1.8i msport and the flagship X2 M35i xdrive. The pricing is from R740 000 to R 1.2 million.

Suzuki Jimny finaly released a 5 door model that will complement the icon, 3 door. There engine capacity however is not different from the 3 door model. The 1,5-litre petrol engine is a mild hybrid which produces 78 kW @ 6000 r/min and 134 N.m @ 6000 r/min, delivering the power to a four-wheel drive system. The 5-Door Jimny offers serious off-road capability with 2WD-high, 4WD-high, and 4WD-low modes as well as a 36-degree approach angle, a 24-degree breakover angle, a 50-degree departure angle, and 210 mm of ground clearance. Gearbox options include a five-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed torque-converter automatic.
