Want to learn the fastest way to grow your confidence?!
It’s been a tough journey and one that could have been easier had I taken the advice I was given years ago.
When I eventually embraced it, everything changed for me.
Exposing myself little by little to the things that make me feel uncomfortable has been a game-changer for building my confidence. 🙌🏼
I’ve discovered that by taking small steps and exposing myself a little at a time to those things that scare me, I’ve been able to build my confidence in ways I never thought possible. It’s like a muscle that gets stronger with each challenge I conquer. 💪🏼
Every time I push myself outside of my comfort zone, I realise that I am capable of more than I believed. The fear starts to dissipate, and I begin to see that I can do it.
So, I encourage you to take that first step. Do it now! It may feel uncomfortable at first, but trust me, the rewards are worth it. 💖
Remember, confidence isn’t built overnight, but with each small step, you’ll find yourself growing stronger and more self-assured.
Start small.
Ask a question in a meeting or comment on something someone else has said. It may even be as small as just asking someone to repeat themselves or clarify something. If you have online meetings then start here and we can move on to in-person meetings. If the thought of speaking to a group scares you, speak first one-on-one with a peer.
It may feel scary at first but I can assure you soon it will become second nature.
Have you faced any fears or discomforts recently? I’d love to hear about your experiences.

We’ve all been there - that heart-stopping moment in a meeting or presentation when someone asks a question, and suddenly, our mind goes blank 🤯
The fear of not having the answer can be paralysing, making us feel inadequate and incompetent. However, it’s essential to understand that not having all the answers at that exact moment doesn’t define our worth or capabilities. In fact, acknowledging this fear and learning to navigate through it can be a significant step towards professional growth and confidence.
Not having the answer doesn’t mean we lose control of the conversation or appear unprofessional. It’s essential to remain calm, composed, and confident in the face of uncertainty. Here are a few strategies to help navigate through these situations:
Active Listening: Pay attention to the question being asked, ensuring you understand it fully. Active listening allows you to gather more information, which may help you develop a thoughtful response or guide you towards finding the answer later.
Clarification and Reflection: If you’re unsure about a question, don’t hesitate to seek clarification. Paraphrase the question back to the person who asked it to ensure you have a clear understanding. By doing so, you show that you value their input and are committed to providing an informed response.
Offer Solutions: Even if you don’t have a direct answer, you can still contribute by offering potential solutions or suggesting further investigation. This demonstrates your proactive approach and willingness to find answers, even if they’re not readily available.
And most importantly follow up: if you don’t have information to hand offer to collate it and present it to the meeting committee or relevant persons at a later date.

To all the corporate women out there who may be struggling with confidence and the pressure to fit in at work, I want you to know that you are not alone. It’s completely normal to have moments of self-doubt and uncertainty in a professional environment. However, it’s important to remember that your unique qualities and perspectives are what make you valuable in your workplace.
Instead of trying to conform to what you think others expect of you, focus on embracing your authentic self. Be proud of your accomplishments, skills, and expertise. Speak up confidently in meetings and share your ideas without fear of judgment. Trust that your voice deserves to be heard, and know that your contributions are valuable.
In terms of how to communicate and behave, remember that confidence comes from within. Be assertive in expressing your opinions and ideas, while also being open to feedback and collaboration. Take the initiative to build positive relationships with your colleagues and superiors, but don’t compromise your values or authenticity in the process.
Remember, it’s not about fitting in; it’s about standing out. Your unique perspective and experiences bring a fresh and valuable perspective to the table. Embrace your individuality, trust in your abilities, and let your confidence shine through.
As soon as you start trying to conform to what you THINK people want from you to you lose the ability to make real connections with people.
Believe in yourself, and others will too. You’ve got this! 💪👩💼

You’ll see people all over social media talking about “Finding your Niche”.
If you’re anything like me when I first started out in the social media realm I had no idea what a Niche was.
I’d had a number of successful businesses by this point but I was a pretty good ‘all-rounder” and could turn my hand to pretty much anything.
Back in 2019 I took a course in list building and the first module in that course was finding your niche. Since then my niche has evolved somewhat as my passions and experiences change.
So let me explain just what a niche is and how it relates to your entrepreneurial journey. 🌟
A niche refers to a specific segment or area within a broader market. It’s about finding your unique spot, where you can cater to a specific group of customers who share common interests, needs, or desires.
Why is finding a niche important for you as an ambitious mum starting your own business?
Well, let’s say you want to offer a product or service that appeals to everyone. While it may seem like a good idea initially, it can be tough to stand out in a crowded market.
On the other hand, when you identify a specific niche, you can focus all your energy on serving a particular group of people with precision and expertise. This allows you to connect deeply with your target audience and differentiate yourself from competitors.
By narrowing your focus, you can become an authority in your niche, build trust, and create a loyal community of customers who truly resonate with your brand.
So, finding your niche is all about finding a business idea that aligns with your passion, expertise, and the needs of your target audience. It’s about creating a space where you can shine and make a difference!
