Every year Saatchi & Saatchi showcases the best new directing talent from around the world providing a platform for short films, commercials, animations, and promos at The New Directors’ Showcase held at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. This year’s reel will be curated by directing legend Ridley Scott who is celebrating his 50th anniversary of receiving Cannes’ Best Debut Film Award.
The showcase is open to directors of all film formats and styles – i.e. short films, 2 mins or under, that are visually interesting, experimental, funny, dramatic, or moving.
Eligibility: If the director made their first 'film specifically made for advertising purposes' after June 1, 2016, they are eligible.
