The Super Eagles of Nigeria received a whopping N17, 280,000 million for beating Argentina 4-2 in Tuesday international friendly played in Russia. The players received $2,000 each for the win as that is the flat rate agreed for the team as match bonus in friendly games.
According to the reports the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are already considering organising more high profile international friendly games before theWorld Cup in Russia to boost their financial powers.
In a related development, the NFF have also forwarded the World Cup bonus agreement they had with players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the Federal Government of Nigeria(FGN). The move is to notify the Government of their plans to ensure that the perennial row over bonus which has distracted the team during major competitions in time past does not happen again in Russia next year.

Newly recruited players of the Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Plateau United Football Club of Jos will officially resume training with the team monday. According to the Media Officer of the club, Albert Dakup, most of the newly contracted players who are mostly from rival NPFL clubs, were excused to go and sort out themselves before joining their new club.
Dakup stated that although some of the new players still have existing contract with their old clubs, Management of the club has began negotiation with such teams with a view to reaching an amicable understanding.
He disclosed that the club does not want to involve itself in any form of controversy whatsoever regarding players transfer as such it will follow laid down rules as stipulated by the League Management company.
The club spokesman said as one of Nigeria,s flagbeares in next year,s CAF Champions League, it is working hard to present a formidable team that will do the nation proud in the continent club competition.
Top on the list of the newly recruited players are Amos Gyang, King Osanga, Rafael Ayagwa, Okemute Odah, Chima Akas as well as an unknown camerounian.
The new players join their old colleagues who have already resumed a fortnight ago as they intensify preparations for the kick-off of the new NPFL season.

Akwa Ibom Gov. Redeems Pledge To Eagles
Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel on Wednesday redeemed his
pledge of $10,000 per goal for the matches against Cameroon to the
Super Eagles, while calling on the 3–time African champions to go
all out for a win against Zambia on Saturday and expect ‘a handsome
reward’ from him.
Governor Emmanuel had promised the players the sum of $10,000 for
every goal, two days before their clash.

Katsina United are the overall winners of the Nigeria second-tier league, the Nigeria National League, after they pipped ABS FC 4-2 on penalties after 1-1 in regulation time Thursday night in Gombe.
Katsina topped the championship playoff with Remo Stars finishing third after they also defeated Gombe United on penalties in a classification game.
Remo Stars 3-1 on penalties after scores were tied at 1-1.
Katsina United came from a goal down to level scores with ABS FC in the 69 minute through Bidemi Abdulwahab.
According to the chairman of the club Aminu Kurfi Balele ‘Dan Arewa’ : “We want to thank the Governor Masari for making funds available for the tournament.
“This is just a way to announce our arrival to the Nigeria Professional Football League.”
Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia has signed on former Nigeria Under-23 national team player, Seun Olunlayo from Sunshine Stars FC of Akure.
The left sided attacking midfielder who won the 2015 African Nations under-23 competition in Senegal with Coach Sampson Siasia put pen on paper at the club’s headquarters in Umuahia, Tuesday afternoon.
Speaking during the sign-on ceremony the club chairman, High Chief Emeka Inyama said the need to do well in the soon to start 2016/2017 NPFL season necessitated the club’s action to go for the best legs in the Nigerian League of which Olunlayo belongs.
Other talented players recruited by the club include; former Heartland FC of Owerri Skipper and Federation Cup Winner, Chinedu Efughi, Dele Olorundare from Sunshhine Stars of Akure, Newman Musa of MFM, Doumbia of Heartland FC and other good players.
