Along with smoked olives, cheese spreads, dried apricots, walnut halves and smoked meats such as Basturma (The Armenian equivalent of Bresaola) and Sujuk (spicy Armenian sausage), Boreks are necessary for any Armenian Mezze spread.
While Boreks can be made with puff pastry or Yufka, a more rustic dough that is halfway between noodles and Filo in thickness and weight.
