These themes are pulled at with sharp humor, clever observation, and an outlook towards the good that can be, rather than the bad that is. All of this is lead by our main character Jäsøn, a would be serial killer fashioned after the “slasher” icons of horror cinema, and his ever-failing quest to become that evil thing. With sympathy & laughs we watch as he never succeeds in his mission, thus highlighting the good, and singling out the vile & ignorant elements in our society. The People:

Stuck in a pandemic world, we refocus our storytelling and adjust it to the circumstances with projects that can be done remotely.
The first such project we are developing, is an animated web show - simply animated characters in a commentary style show, discussing various weird topics from a post-apocalyptic future perspective with hindsight.
Witty writers with good research skills, artists/animators with a knack for wicked cartoons, editors, sound designers, producers with good online and social media skills, etc. are welcome to inquire for details via PM. Aiming for a shared crowd sourced revenue.

On the 28th of December, 124 years ago, the first real movie ever was shown to the public. The creators, the brothers Lumière, revealed the first true motion picture at the Salon Indien du Grand Café in Paris and initiated a new area for humankind.
If you love movies or work in the industry, celebrate this glorious day by watching some good old movies. go into a small artist cinema; watch something you would not watch otherwise; watch something black and white; or something without sound, something french, something with subtitles even.
Celebrate St. Lumière on the 28th to show your appreciation for cinema.

We are looking for an illustrator to draw some - not too complex but rig-able - cartoon characters at my direction, that can be used in adobes character animator (it works with adobe illustrator, and you would need to draw various mouth, eyes and other body parts, to match expressions and sounds - search for adobe character animator on youtube for more details). We would need a bunch of characters, any maybe some backgrounds and a range of props for the characters to interact with.
This is technically no budget, but we are willing to pay too, if the effort and offer is good. alternatively/additionally, you can become part of the production crew for the project the characters are used for, and we work something out over the long run (more details on this later, should you be interested).

Creative Monkeys Production is opening an independent film studio in Liverpool. We chose Liverpool for its independent spirit; to settle down and bring our creations to life here. And you can be part of it!
We offer you the chance to work in a creative field, and to assist us in securing funds and support. Our studio and creative space transcends a plutocratic business. We have great plans for community projects, workshops, movie nights, round tables, live events and more are already lined up. But our main focus is on creating great entertaining stories, and you can help with that!
We are looking for someone who is not afraid to push some pencils, someone who understands numbers on an emotional level, someone who is fearless in the face of bureaucracy and who can turn ideas, stories, notes and data into a coherent form; to compose business plans, offers and presentations; to find and contact entities and organisations that offer grants, funds and support for our endeavour to create. A desktop hero!
It is, for now, a back-office job with business school, project management and sales elements mixed in, but instead for some faceless corporation, you will be part of a small independent genius bunch of artistic adventurers, part of a somewhat different film production company. And if we get along, this might turn into a longer lasting arrangement, with you as an integral part of the Creative Monkeys Production Team.
This is the perfect job for a young nerdy, film loving business student; or for a creative smart business person looking for something new and more interesting to do.
Good research and communication skills, project presentation and management, some brains and a lot of humour are a plus. Age, s*x and race do not matter to us, but we are unsavable liberal atheists, so being from a similar tribe may help overall ;)
You do not need to have any film making skills (we can teach you), but they are obviously welcome.

For our funny, weird webseries project, we are looking for a Director of Photography.
We are shooting a few small pilot episodes beginning to mid May and our current DP for Jäsøn will not be able to be in Europe for that time, so we are looking for a replacement.
Things we are looking for:
* Good dramatic eye and sense of pace
* Equipment is welcome (especially lenses, light and grip)
* Knowledge of Slasher, Thrillers and Action is an advantage
Things to know:
* This is currently No-Budget (deferred contracts available)
* While we have some equipment, a lot is creatively solved
* There will be about 6 to 7 days shooting in total.
