No new updates, but I spent some time today mucking around with Claude Design + Claude Code, and completely redesigned the site around a vinyl/zine theme.

1. I think it looks pretty cool, and is much more in line with what I had in mind 20 years ago (!!!!!) when I started the site.
2. I'm being very nostalgic and spinning some old tunes from the site tonight. We covered some great tunes over the last couple of decades...

Burgo's Music Blog turns 10 years old this year. It's absolutely blowing my mind to think that through, and everything it means. In that time I've written about over 500 songs to share with you, and it's crazy looking back at them all.

So, to celebrate that 10 years, I've set myself a challenge. It's a series of posts that I'm going to run over this year, culminating in a final playlist. This could go badly, but read more here...

Turns out a full third of my "Best Albums of 2015" list are Australian releases! Great tunes from courtney barnett Kyle Lionhart Garrett Kato Tame Impala Sons of the East made it a very patriotic affair.

Wow. This is the first year since this blog launched back in 2007 that I haven’t posted during the year; my last post was a “Best of 2014” roundup. Oh well, life gets in the way. Let’s jump straight into 2015’s round up, shall we?...

South African fans - I'm looking to profile a series of albums for an upcoming project. One of the album's included in the list is Plush's "All That Is Should Be". Here's where you can help: I'm looking to give more background into the impact this album had on South African's at the time. Whether it's a memory of this album soundtracking a road trip to the South Coast, or your first romance, or getting you through Matric - I want to hear about it, no matter how small a role it played.
