In 1952, public law 82-324, sec 119 was passed stating that "the President shall set aside and proclaim a suitable day each year, other than Sunday, as a National Day of Prayer, on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals." In 1988, the first Thursday in May each year was designated the National Day of Prayer.

The Bible says 📖, "I urge, then, first of all that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior." 1 Timothy 2:1-3

On this National Day of Prayer, we are praying for our country, for our leaders in authority and for all people everywhere. 🙏🏾🙏🏾💜💙
