Correct priorities, but so sad. Glad this short was shared. We care.

Chess Grandmaster Anna Muzychuk refuses to play in Saudi Arabia and says: "In a few days, I will lose two world titles, back to back." Because I decided not to go to Saudi Arabia. I refuse to play by special rules, to wear abaya, to be accompanied by a man so I can leave the hotel, so I don't feel like a second class person.
"I will follow my principles and not compete in the World Fast Chess and Blitz Championship where in just 5 days I could have won more money than dozens of other tournaments combined." This is all very nasty but the sad part is no one seems to care. Bitter feelings but can't go back. "

In October we look forward to apple harvest, Halloween, and at Wisdom She Wrote we honor the crone. What does the word crone mean to you? Something to fear or something to honor and revere?

Crone, crony, cronyism. Here’s a radical thought: let’s own our crone! We’ve earned it.

Tommi Marsans grew up surrounded by strong women. She revered the wisdom demonstrated by their strength, authority, confidence, and beauty. Now among them, she embraces her newfound power to redefine the crone.

Today’s crone shines brightly. She sets her own boundaries and speaks with confidence. If that makes her disagreeable, she’s okay with that. And it’s hard to argue because she is generous. She lifts the generations of women and men around her with her wisdom and strength. The crone is not a woman to fear, but a woman to revere.
