It was not untill the Spring of 2008 when a large radio crew was formed in Thessaloniki giving birth to Paranoise Radio. Every single member of Paranoise is characterized by unquenchable thirst and passion for music! More or less we all support the view that music should make everyone feel like human rather than product. Using Internet, the most significant means of communication, gave us the oppo

rtunity to create an independent, alternative radio, whose aim is to promote contemporary urban music culture through communicating with our listeners. Paranoise Radio is made up of around 50 people at the moment, mainly broadcasting from Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as from other European cities such as London, Xanthi, Manchester, Berlin, Madrid, Copenhagen, Larissa, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Drama, Brussels, Aalborg, Birmingham and Brighton. The combination of all these various personalities has given us the chance to widen the range of music that we choose to play, without however causing the radio to lose its identity. In other words, all the different genres of music that are broadcasted on Paranoise Radio are so carefully combined that the radio will always maintain its own distinctive sound!

Guest Mix #322 by General Sticks goes on air tonight.

General Sticks is Dimitris Stergiou, a drummer, drums teacher, producer, and composer based in Athens, Greece. His journey in music has been shaped by his love for rhythm and his drive to blend dub, reggae, bass music, and cinematic elements with Mediterranean influences.

As part of Blend Mishkin & Roots Evolution, he's had the privilege of performing at amazing festivals and venues across Europe, including Rototom Sunsplash in Spain, the One Love Festival in the UK, and iconic spots like Hootananny Brixton.

In his solo work, he has partnered with incredible talents such as Rider Shafique, Ras Demo, and Turboflow3000 to create music that combines bass-heavy grooves with melodic depth. As a session drummer, he has also worked with notable Greek artists like Marina Satti, Rena Morfi, and Rodes United, which has allowed him to explore a wide range of genres and cultures.

His mission is to keep pushing the boundaries of modern bass music, combining tradition with cutting-edge production techniques.

For this guest mix, he's put together a selection of tracks that represent his musical vision, blending dub, reggae, and bass music. The mix is a journey through sounds that respect the roots of the genre while venturing into fresh and innovative territories.
