CHRISTIAN LILLINGER’s OPEN FORM FOR SOCIETY II (Plaist, 2026)
GENRE: PostGenre chamber music, contemporary chamber music.
RELEASE: 23. April 2026 - LP / CD / Digital

The second phase of Lillinger’s most ambitious project to date; a continuation of his ongoing compositional project for ten musicians.

In contrast to the first edition, which emphasized separation in the studio, OFFS II concentrates on the unity of a shared space. The recordings were made at the Deutschlandfunk studios in Cologne and reflect a live sonic image in which all material—apart from a few conceptual cut-up procedures—sounds, decays, and breathes within a single room.
