কত দূরে বসে টিভি দেখা উচিত ?

প্রায়ই আমরা অভিজ্ঞদের পরামর্শ শুনতে পাই, খুব কাছ থেকে টিভি দেখা উচিত নয়। তাহলে ঠিক কতটা দূরে বসে টিভি দেখা উচিত ?
সাধারণত পর্দায় ছবির যা উচ্চতা তার প্রায় ৪ থেকে ৮ গুণ দূরে বসে টিভি দেখা উচিত। অর্থাৎ কুড়ি ইঞ্চি টিভির ক্ষেত্রে এই দূরত্ব হবে ৪ থেকে ৮ ফুট (বা সোয়া মিটার থেকে আড়াই মিটার)।

কি বৈজ্ঞানিক কোনো মুক্তি আছে ?
হ্যাঁ, আছে।
দূরে বসে টিভি দেখলে দু'টো সুবিধে পাওয়া যায়। প্রথমত স্ক্যানিংয়ের সরু সরু রেখাগুলো আলাদাভাবে দর্শকের চোখে পড়ে না। ফলে
ছবি অনেক মোলায়েম বলে মনে হয়। আর দ্বিতীয় সুবিধেটা হল, দর্শকের চোখ পর্দা থেকে নির্গত ক্ষতিকর এক্স-রশ্মি থেকে রক্ষা পায়। অতিরিক্ত নিরাপত্তার কথা ভেবেই টিভির পর্দার ওপরে সাধারণত স্বচ্ছ ফিলটার ব্যবহার করা হয়।
