Sources in whom we have the utmost confidence have just informed us that The Haggard & Haggard Radio Hour will be hittin' the airwaves today from 4:00 to 5:00 PM (Central Time). So we'll be tuning in... and we hope that you will, too.
Listen at 103.7 FM and 107.1 FM in the Nashville area. Listen online, worldwide, at this link:

We'll have an excellent featured artist this week: the powerhouse rhythm-and-blues singer Big Maybelle. You'll be hearing three of her fine tracks, plus an eclectic mess o' stuff by Ramblin' Jack Elliott; by an interesting group we've never played before on the show, The 502s; by one of our favorites here on The Haggard & Haggard Radio Hour, Jimmy LaFave; and, in our foreign-language segment, by a cool Mexican trio, Los Tres Diamantes.

It's simple arithmetic: Great Music + Meaningless Banter = The Haggard & Haggard Radio Hour.

June is here, and what better way to celebrate our favorite month's arrival than with The Haggard & Haggard Radio Hour? As we do each and every Tuesday, we'll be galloping your way from 4:00 to 5:00 PM (Central Time). We hope you'll tune in.

Our featured artist this week will be a very good country singer/songwriter who passed away recently, Johnny Rodriguez. You'll hear three of his excellent tracks, plus an eclectic mix o' music by Neil Young; by a true master of the blues, Howlin' Wolf; by a rather obscure singer who came on the scene way back in the 1930s, Gertrude Niesen; and, in our weekly foreign-language segment, by an H&H Radio Hour favorite, Françoise Hardy. Needless to say, there'll not only be plenty of great music, but also meaningless banter galore. We hope that you'll join us.

Will the excitement never end? Apparently not, because today we'll be having our annual Bob Dylan's Birthday Show. (Last week, of course, we marked the 17th anniversary of The Haggard & Haggard Radio Hour.) As always, we'll be coming your way from 4:00 to 5:00 PM (Central Time). So, tune in and wish Bob a Happy Birthday.

To celebrate Dylan's birthday -- his 84th, amazingly enough -- we'll be doing a whole show of Dylan songs from his long and glorious career; older ones, newer ones, better-known ones, lesser-known ones, etc. The only song not sung by Bob himself will be one that he wrote, but that'll be performed in Spanish by Franky Perez in our foreign-language segment. It should be a very entertaining hour of Dylan music and lore, so please join us. (By the way, Bob's birthday is actually May 24th.)

It's simple arithmetic: Great Music + Meaningless Banter = The Haggard & Haggard Radio Hour.

I’m tellin’ ya, you may want to listen in for this one…

Guest co-host for our Special 17th Anniversary Show will be our old friend, the illustrious Les Kerr, and there'll be plenty of great music... and meaningless banter galore, of course. You'll hear excellent tracks by Bob Dylan, whose birthday we'll be celebrating next week; by jazz/blues song stylist Dinah Washington; by one of the best doo-wop groups, The Del-Vikings; by The Grateful Dead; by guest co-host Les Kerr; and, in our weekly foreign-language segment, by a longtime H&H Radio Hour favorite, Françoise Hardy.
