Great new sounds on splat fm - we have recently purchased some new songs - listen out for ed sheeran, one direction, Katy perry, Taylor swift - all your favourites and some golden oldies coming from Whangaparaoa school 24/7 ( unless the kids forget to push play!!) :)

Ooops - Splat FM is off air - I think our year 6 dj's were so busy getting autographs from friends as they left school that they forgot about checking the station! It will be on air again tomorrow - I'll sort it out! Have a very happy Christmas - thanks to everyone who has supported our school radio station this year - especially the awesome Alex Breingan from Radio Live and Chioce TV for giving our kids some great tips on interviewing and using the mic...and...um... learning not to say um! :) And thanks to the year 6 DJ's who so ably ran the station this year - great confidence and organisational skills - we'd love to have you back for a guest DJ spot anytime you have a teacher only day or longer holidays than primary school! I'm sure some of you will use those skills you have picked up in the future sometime - so many possibilities for you all - make the most of every opportunity you get!

107.7fm broadcasts 24/7 in Manly, NZ. Our year 6 students DJ before school, morning tea and lunch times. They are doing a great job running the station and learning useful skills for the future - multi-tasking, thinking on their feet/ad-libbing, problem solving, clear talking.....but most of all they are just having FUN!

Listen to great music from Whangaparaoa School on 107.7 Splat FM. Our year 6 radio DJ roster starts tomorrow...they would love yopur feedback if you hear them! There will be live DJ's from 8.30-9am, 10.40-11am, and 12.30-1.30pm, followed by storytime for kids from 1.30pm - 1.45ish. Listen in on Mondat for sounds from Sam, Sam, Riley and Levi :)

We are on air again!!! After months of issues with our transmitter it was deemed un-fix-able... so we now have a new one. Yay!! Great to hear the sounds of Whangaparaoa Primary again.

:-( our transmitter is broken and can't be fixed so we are off air until we can afford a new one. I have been told a decent one is about $2000! Looking into cheaper options ...

YAY!!! SPLAT FM IS BACK ON AIR! Finally got new equipment after nasty thieves stole our last lot. Thanks to Ali at Now Sound for giving us such a good deal :)

We have ordered a new mixing board and microphone so that we can get on air again soon - yay! Looking forward to hearing great sounds from Whangaparaoa School again!

Good news! The police have found our computer - all songs and recordings still intact. Now to get a quote to replace our mixing console, microphone and headphones...then we can get up and running again...we're not going to let some annoying thieves beat us!!! ;-)

Someone has stolen all our gear for the Radio Station. The Apple Mac,Mirophone,Mixing Desk,Leads everything. The 60 kids don't know yet until they turn up tomorrow. Sad times. Please Help us and the Police find these Thieves.
