A 55 year old man presented with abrupt painful swelling of the trunk and arms and legs, joint pain and limited ability to move his wrists., arthralgia, and limited joint mobility of the wrists. He had no allergies, and no previous trauma or strenuous exercise was reported. He did acknowledge having received the first dose of the Vaxzevria vaccine 1 week before the beginning of the symptoms. He was initially asymptomatic, but 1 week later, the patient complained of skin induration, which started in the flanks and progressed over days to involve the proximal upper and lower portion of the limbs. His skin had a tell-tale 'orange peel' appearance and his veins The patient received a diagnosis of Eosinophilic fasciitis, and treatment with steroids was started. The skin lesions gradually improved. We found evidence of serious neurological harms, including Bell’s palsy, Guillain-Barré syndrome, myasthenic disorder and stroke, which are likely due to an autoimmune reaction. Severe harms, i.e. those that prevent daily activities, were underreported in the randomised trials."

CASE REPORT: First to demonstrate that specific mRNA vaccine-induced SARS-COV2 T-cells are associated with acute myocarditis.
A 23-year-old male patient was admitted to hospital 4 days after second SARS-CoV-2 vaccination with mRNA-1273 for chest pain and breathlessness on exertion. SARS-CoV-2 infection was excluded by PCR on admission.
On day six, myocardial biopsy was performed. Histological findings showed mild interstitial edema in line with the diagnosis of acute myocarditis .
Underlying infections were ruled out.
The patient was treated with beta-blocker, ACE inhibitor, and ibuprofen and reported slow progressive relief of symptoms and was finally discharged from the hospital 8 days after admission. Three months later the patient presented without any complaints at rest but had not engaged in more intense physical exertion so far. Electrocardiographic findings were reduced, but still detectable. Magnetic resonance tomography showed reduced edema but residual signs of myocardial damage.
"Our findings demonstrate for the first time that SARS-CoV-2 vaccine-associated myocarditis is accompanied by a substantial infiltration of the myocardium by SARS-CoV-2 specific T-cells. The reason for the SARS-CoV-2-specific T cell infiltration is not known. In general, T cell infiltration is ether antigen-driven or unspecific due to inflammatory stimuli. With respect to the antigen-induced response, an autoimmune reaction driven by antigenic mimicry has been suggested."

CASE REPORT: A 61-year-old man with no previous record of autoimmune disease developed fever, pain in multiple joints, bleeding from broken blood vessels, and a blistering rash 2 weeks after the first dose of the Moderna mRNA-1273 vaccine, and symptoms worsened following the second dose. He presented reduced blood counts, hyperferritinemia, high sIL-2R levels, and severe hypocomplementemia (an immunodeficient blood condition). He was diagnosed hypocomplementemic urticarial vasculitis (HUVS), and his symptoms improved following treatment with steroids. Twelve weeks later, however, he relapsed with fever, sore throat, low blood cells, and hyperferritinemia when the steroid dose was lowere. Bone marrow biopsy and MRI presented fatty marrow and hemophagocytosis -- a symptom an aggressive and life-threatening excessive immune activation. The patient's blood cells started recovering using therapy for hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). "This is the first case report of HUVS and HLH following SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination. It is presumed that SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccine can induce the excessive production of certain types of cytokines, such as TNF-α, IL-1, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, and IL-17 as a consequence of IL-6 Amplification (IL-6 Amp). SARS-CoV-2 mRNA-vaccines can cause disruption of immune homeostasis in healthy individuals. An extremely rare disease of HUVS complicated by HLH can be developed as a consequence."

CASE REPORT: A 22-year-old man, who presented with recurrent pericarditis (inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart) and large buildup of fluid 2 months after a second Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, underwent pericardiocentesis and pericardial window.
Four months later, he presented with a large pericardial mass manifesting in heart failure and underwent urgent pericardiectomy. A new pathology specimen immunostaining and fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis revealed pericardial mesothelioma (A 22-year-old man, who presented with recurrent pericarditis and large pericardial effusion 2 months after a second BNT162b2 COVID-19 vaccine, underwent pericardiocentesis and pericardial window. Pathology specimen of pericardium revealed benign mesothelial inflammation, consistent with acute pericarditis. Four months later, he presented with a large pericardial mass manifesting in heart failure and underwent urgent pericardiectomy. A new pathology specimen immunostaining and fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis revealed pericardial mesothelioma (a cancer of the thin tissue of the sac). Despite intensive care, the 22-year-old patient died 3 weeks later.

CASE REPORT and genetic typing: Cases of subacute thyroiditis and the thyroid autoimmune condition, Grave's Disease, have been reported after COVID vaccination. CASE 1: A 36-year-old Japanese woman with no medical history developed fever after receiving her second Pfizer vaccination. On the third day after doses 2, she developed neck pain and relapsed fever. Subsequently, she developed headaches and palpitations, fever persisted and her neck pain intensified and did not fully respond to aspirin. On day 28 after the second vaccination, with persisting symptoms, the patient visited a medical clinic where she tested negative for COVID but was diagnosed with Grave's Disease.
Case 2: A 58-year-old man developed fever following a Pfizer COVID vaccine, then on day 10 after the jab, he developed neck pain, palpitations and fatigue. He had a swollen thyroid gland and his blood tests and ultrasound revealed subacute thyroiditis, for which he was treated over the following 44 days and monitored at intervals over the following months.
Both patients underwent genetic testing and specific genetic alleles ( HLA-B*35:01, -C*04:01, and -DPB1*05:01 . HLA-DRB1*11:01 and HLA-DQB1*03:01) are speculated to have predisposed them to subacute thyroiditis and Grave's Disease following COVID vaccination.
