This is a call to all artists for a zine I am creating about Pittsburgh and the people who make it the greatest city in the country. and online.

I am taking submissions from any artists who would like to contribute. The format is mainly visual art such as comics, photos, paintings, collage, etc. but I'd be open to written word as well. I also totally want to have a cd to accompany each zine sampling awesome local bands, so if you are a musician, please submit songs! The theme is Pittsburgh and why you love it. In addition to each submissio

n, an artist statement about why you love Pittsburgh would be greatly appreciated! I really want this to happen. I think it would be a great tribute to the city I have grown to love and am proud to call home. The sense of community here is amazing and I think this will just add to it. Feel free to spread the word to anyone you know who would want to contribute! The idea is to sell at local bookstores such as Awesome Books, Big Idea, etc. I would also love for a portion of the proceeds to go to a charity to be determined later. email ideas and submissions to [email protected] or message me on facebook.
