Trying to get that b-roll in Koblenz! ๐ฅ๐๐ I really love our travel vlogs. ๐๐ I enjoy the filming and editing these videos. As a kid I used to make scrapbooks and vlogs have become my modern scrapbooks. ๐๐๏ธ๐ท

It's white asparagus season here in Germany!! We just posted a video trying different dishes for a day! (https://youtu.be/NAsxuEUROEU) ๐ฅ๐ฉโ๐ณ๐จโ๐ณ This was both of our first times cooking white asparagus (without supervision)! ๐

Curry Time!! For the past few months, I've been pretending that I'm in and my specialty is curry. ๐๐ถ๏ธ๐๐ช
It feels nice to draw again. โ๏ธ๐ฉโ๐ป I've been very down and in a bit of a funk lately. I haven't had the motivation to pick up a pen. When I'm drawing and listen to a podcast or music, I'm teleported into a happy place. ๐โ๏ธ So, for me drawing and thinking about food is just pure bliss. ๐

Even though we are indoors most of the day, it is nice to see some warm sunshine here in Germany! โ๏ธ๐ฉ๐ช It makes these times a little brighter and more enjoyable.
New videos is out and we talk about Restaurant Differences (USA vs Germany)! ๐ฅ We aren't sure exactly when we'll be in a sit down restaurant again, but here are some interesting differences to know and discuss! There are a lot of similarities when it comes to customs in USA ๐บ๐ฒ and Germany, ๐ฉ๐ช yet it's also interesting how many small differences we notice in these normal situations. ๐ฝ๏ธ

I love filled donuts. ๐ฉ Big fluffy dough balls of goodness are 10x better when filled with anything!!! Chocolate filled, cream filled, fruit filled, jelly filled I really don't discriminate! ๐๐

When Phil and I film food videos we usually split a lot of dishes. ๐ฅ This way we can eat the food while it's hot, and we can taste more without filling up on one dish. On our recent trip to Berlin I learned we shouldn't split Berliner/Pfannkuchen/Krapfen/JellyFilledDonut. ๐ His bites are wayyyyy bigger than mine, and I had to go buy another one for myself. ๐ฉ

Happy Valentine's Day!!! ๐๐ซ๐ When I was single my favorite part about this time of year was going to the stores on February 15th and getting all the 75% off chocolate boxes left over from Valentine's Day! ๐คค๐๐ซ It was a magical time full of discounted chocolate, my cozy bed, and a few romcoms.
I am lucky enough to have chocolate a day earlier now and a wonderful "husband" (still a weird word for me). ๐ญ๐๐ฅฐ Dankeschรถn, ๐ Although, we still need to keep the romcom tradition going. ๐

THANK YOU!! ๐ค๐๐ Wow! We just reached 30k subscribers on our couples YouTube channel, โก๏ธ Deana and Phil. It really doesn't feel real that just a year ago we only had about 500 subscribers and we were making videos of our travels. โ๏ธ๐We weren't even monetized at that time, so it's really amazing to see so much growth! ๐๐ฅ
This really wouldn't be possible with all the positive supporters we get! So I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our journey. ๐ It really is super motivating when we receive such kind and encouraging words. ๐ I truly can't thank y'all enough. I have such mixed feelings about 2019... ๐คท This past year has been a whirlwind of emotions, struggles and accomplishments. In 2019, I have experienced my lowest lows and my highest highs.
This past year, I've traveled to four continents, ๐ rediscovered my love for art, ๐ฉโ๐จ reached several YT milestones, ๐ฅ acheived many set goals, โ๏ธ and learned a lot a long the way. ๐ More importantly, I was able to reconnect with friends and family I haven't seen in years, ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ and also created many more wonderful memories with Phil, ๐
Although this past year felt glamourous at times, it was also a year of struggles, sorrow and uncertainty. ๐ I'm not sure if I'm entirely ready for a new year and a new decade, but I'm definitely ready to close the chapeter on 2019.๐๐พ๐
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve! Have fun and make good choices! ๐ค๐
