I have always wanted my own club 🎩, but at least I get to throw parties! One of my favorite things about hosting last month’s Bohemian Sunday at the @savoytivolisf 🌴 was having a stage! When I was planning the entertainment, the first person I thought of was the faaaabulous @dottielux, our femcee *and* she did a number 🐷 (she brought three outfit changes!). Gawdess, we loved your bacon strip 🥓👠 and bawdy banter all night! Dottie’s longtime stage experience, last-minute lineup save ⚡️, and sassy natural excellence on the 🎤 made the entertainment portion of the evening so extra! Mwah! 💋
The crowd j’adored our lineup of queer burlesque and racy performances with a touch of Barbary Coast, featuring the smoldering and shimmering✨ @paigeturnersf 🪭 and the drop-dead gawjuss and bodacious @bionkasimone (ooooh, dangerous curves ⚠️) who burned us up with their hawt 🔥 numbers! Va-va-voooom! Meowza!

From this week’s tablehopper 💌 newsletter: The next time you’re looking for a #SundayFunday excursion, I’d recommend grabbing a friend or two (or maybe your parents, or kids) and head over to the @clement_st_farmers_market (it’s one of the best in the City) and have brunch at the recently revamped @eatsrestaurantsf on Clement Street. The affable chef-owner Simon Bryant took over the 48-year-old Inner Richmond restaurant (since 1975!) after it sadly closed in early 2023, and reopened it in late summer last year, all freshened up with a bright white interior, contemporary/mid century–inspired chairs, blond wood tables, milk glass pendant lights, and lots of plants, plus there’s a huge parklet and outdoor tables.

Had SUCH a delicious dinner at @fusiondumplingsf last night. So many wonderful Shanghainese and Sichuan dishes and dumplings. Our faves:
-crab and pork xiao long bao (incredible amount of rich broth in such a silky wrapper with nice pleats 👛)
-spicy wonton in chile 🌶️ oil (baby flavor bombs)
-spicy tan tan noodles (boom 💥!)
-princess wings (tangy and molten lava 🌋 sauce)
-Shanghai bean curd leaf rolls (a nice respite from the 🔥!)
-garlicky AF smashed cucumber 🥒 salad
We had higher hopes for the Peking duck pot sticker, but we decided it’s better to enjoy it the traditional way—it was too rich and oily; and we’d pass on the SJB (sheng jian bao). But otherwise, everything was pretty fantastic. Look forward to coming back (soon!) for the Shanghai sticky rice shumai and the recommended crab lo mein.
ALSO: was so happy to see @domainecarneros brut 🍾 on the wine list! We got to enjoy a fab bottle of bubs with our feast. 🥂 (You can also splash out for the gorgeous La Rêve.)

My Dad and I could “bearly” believe our eyes 👀: mama bear and baby bear 🐻 were playing in our Tahoma family cabin’s backyard at dusk a couple evenings ago. Never seen anything like it in all our years here. So friggin’ cute.
I’m also pretty impressed with my iPhone—I had it on max zoom shooting through our sliding glass door, there was very little light, and it still managed to capture this precious moment. 🙌
