NEW CIGAR REVIEW
https://simplystogies.com/cigar-review-cavalier-le-2024/

Brian Bolen of Smoldering Cigar smokes the Cavalier Genève Ci**rs Limited Edition 2024.

"The first third of the cigar is dominated by black pepper, earthy tones, and a graham cracker sweetness. The pepper is strong at the start but subsides as the cigar progresses. The medium strength, as noted on Cavalier’s website, holds true. There is a small run on one side of the foot, but the ash remains tight and light grey in color. The draw is easy and smooth, with the graham cracker notes becoming more prominent. Toward the end of the first third, the run continues, but the cigar still feels well-constructed and enjoyable."

The Cavalier Limited Edition (L.E.) cigar is released once a year, and this marks the seventh year the company has introduced an L.E. cigar. The blends and sizes change annually, making each year’s release unique. For 2024, the cigar is a 5 1/2 x 58 Double Figurado, which imparts some interesting ...

James and Nicholas Syris welcome Michael Herklots of Ferio Tego to the show. Michael has been in the industry on the retail side and the manufacturing side; so, it's no surprise that the discussion turns to B&Ms and cigar lounges. Michael talk about customer service and what consumers should expect from their retailer and cigar lounges. Yes, there's a difference between a cigar retailer and a cigar lounge. The conversation centers around familiarity vs formality. The trio also discuss what Michael looks for in these shops as a manufacturer, before the discussion turns to the manufacturing side. We ask Michael what he thinks is wrong with the industry before turning our attention to Ferio Tego, TPE, PCA, and more!

NEW CIGAR REVIEW
https://simplystogies.com/cigar-review-catastrophic-failure-from-powstanie/

We're kicking off 2025 with a review of the Catastrophic Failure from Powstanie

"The Catastrophic Failure is a beautiful looking cigar. It appears to be expertly double capped. The Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper is maybe a shade or two darker than milk chocolate. It isn’t quite smooth or rough to the touch…it’s somewhere in the middle…like a fine sandpaper. There is a bit of tooth to the wrapper. Veins are visible and it has a nice oily sheen. The Catastrophic Failure looks anything but a failure."

**rs **rs **rsmoker

In late 2024, Powstanie announced a new limited production cigar called the Catastrophic Failure. Co-founder of Powstanie, Mike Szczepankiewicz, said in a press release that the Catastrophic Failure, “exemplifies everything Powstanie Ci**rs stands for.” I had the pleasure of meeting Mike for the...

Sean shares his passion for Cohiba and the blends he’s done with them. We talk about the Cohiba Serie M, their collaboration with Weller, and the Spectre. We ask Sean what Cohiba blend he’s most proud of, and what it’s like going from boutique to “mainstream” ci**rs. Sean talks about why fans of boutique ci**rs should be more open-minded when it comes to the larger brands, and much more!
