In contemporary times, there is a growing fusion of the domestic and labor spheres, as well as a blurring of the lines between the and domains. Traditional spaces, which were once central, have undergone a significant transformation, with physical boundaries becoming less definitive. To navigate this shift, a buffer zone is introduced, accommodating the fluidity of work-life integration.
This design approach involves the integration of clusters combining living and working spaces, as well as co-living and co-working areas. These clusters give rise to a transitional field, erasing boundaries between these two domains and offering a diverse range of conditions with varying constraints. / Via

The design interpreted the architecture on a landscape scale for this large project. To reduce the visual impact of the built surface, it was decided to project part of the building crossing an artificial lake and forcing visitors to leave their cars in the parking area, located on the southeast side of the lake, taking a long journey across this lake. -pond to visit the museum.

1 - Rewilding the Arctic is promised to slow the climate crisis. Herds of large herbivores—horses and bison—are released onto the tundra to create vast grasslands.
2 - The Alaska-based HAARP transmitter facility harvests methane emissions into a giant snow globe. An array of antennas sends high-energy beams to ionize methane into pure carbon and hydrogen. The energy intensive turbines are powered by natural gas drawn from the North Slope Petroleum Reserve.
3 - Extreme wildfires blaze across the old-growth boreal forests releasing carbon stored in trees and peatland into carbon dioxide and other potent greenhouse gases emissions. "The Word for World is (Forever) Forest".
4 - Permafrost thaw releases hundreds of millions of years of buried carbon into the atmosphere. To restore the Earth's white pole, seawater is pumped onto floating dome structures creating artificial glaciers, powered by floating nuclear plants.

The proposal won the competition for a public landmark in the world-known ski resort of Val d’Isère in France.
The building will be located at the foot of the resort, looking up to the Face de Bellevarde, home to the yearly World Cup downhill race. The mixed-use building will contain, among other things, a community center for the village, a multipurpose hall, the home of the prestigious Club des Sports de Val d’Isère as well as a public restaurant.
More than just a building, la Maison des Avalins is designed to be a cultural landmark, where sport, history, tradition, and community converge.

Guoshen Museum proves what’s possible when imagination and collaborative architecture collide. This design proposal envisions a massive structure with an airy and transparent aesthetic.
The building is intentionally lifted to transform the ground floor into a that gives bystanders access to the without having to enter, and its continuous open ground floor plan and landscaped rooftops connect visitors to the surrounding natural beauty, paying homage to ODA’s value of porosity.

🔪 / C U T / [unbuilt project] Large Buildings with Courtyards by Pablo Bronstein, 2005-2008
Pablo Bronstein’s works subvert ideas about heritage and conservatism. His drawings look back to architectural representations of centuries past and transform the designs depicted to make their viewers reach a “kind of subtle realization that something might not be entirely right with the object”.
In the drawings seen here, large building blocks in a neo-classical style are punctured with strangely shaped that offer a dissonance with what we have come to expect from this kind of architecture. This apparent transgression is only visible to us because of the chosen point of view, an . / Via

The central control building is located in a 20 square kilometer area with significant energy potential due to its climate. The region is unsuitable for agriculture and has been designated as an specialization area, potentially becoming Europe’s largest .
The building integrates technologies and is positioned 40 meters away from existing solar panels, ensuring no shadows are cast on them. The facade is designed to blend with the surroundings, with high reflectance levels that change colors throughout the day and become blurred on cloudy days. / Via .architecture

🏛️ / M U S E U M S / Portuguese National Pavilion by Álvaro Siza Vieira / 1998
The Portuguese National Pavilion was designed by Álvaro Siza Vieira to be the thematic centerpiece of the festival and the host country’s national pavilion. Siza, who at the time was Portugal's most renowned modern architect, was selected to design the building as the grand entrance to the fairgrounds. The theme of the Expo, "The Oceans: A Heritage for the Future,” commemorated the heritage of Portuguese discovery and demanded from the architect a sensitive interplay between the pavilion and the harbor. With the help of fellow countryman Eduardo Souto de Moura and the engineering expertise of Cecil Balmond, Siza created a space that was visually striking and highly effective at meeting the festival’s programmatic needs and site-specific requirements. Siza chose to split the building into two parts: one portion was designed to be adapted for various uses, while the other would be an outdoor yard, where he would create a strong architectural gesture. The architect covered the patio with a 70-metre-long concrete canopy that bends down in the middle, and frames views to the Tagus River. Creating a thin concrete canopy, draped effortlessly between two mighty porticoes and framing a commanding view of the water was a simple and gestural move which added weightless, mightiness and sophistication to the project while coming with a bold architectural solution to the common problem of the covered public plaza. / Via
