“Ian Dury” Kennington, London -1977

Ian Dury, the iconic British singer-songwriter, was a prominent figure in the London music scene of the late 1970s. In 1977, he released his debut album *New Boots and Panties!!*, which included hits like "Wake Up and Make Love with Me." Kennington, a district in south London, was part of the vibrant cultural landscape of the city during this era, known for its diverse community and artistic expressions.

Dury's music, often infused with his wit and the gritty realism of London's working-class life, resonated with many and cemented his place in the history of British punk and new wave music.
