ALERT LEVEL 3 NA ANG MAYONโ€ผ๏ธโš ๏ธ
BREAKING: Phivolcs has raised the alert level today June 8 (12NN) of Mayon Volcano from Alert Level 2 (increasing unrest) to Alert Level 3 (increased tendency towards a hazardous eruption)!

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST), Alert Level 3 means that Mayon "is exhibiting magmatic eruption of a summit lava dome, with increased chances of lava flows and hazardous PDCs (pyroclastic density currents) affecting the upper to middle slopes of the volcano and of potential explosive activity within weeks or even days."

Timeline:
June 5, 2023 (Monday)- From Alert Level 1 to Alert Level 2
June 8, 2023 (Thursday)- From Alert Level 2 to Alert Level 3

* Last major eruption of Mayon Volcano at Alert Level 4 happened in 2018, 5 years ago.

ORATIO IMPERATA PRAYER (BICOL)

Dai mi nasabotan asin naotob an Saimong kabotan na atamanon
an kinaban.

An kapalibutan nagsasakit huli kan samong mga salang gibo,
Asin ngonyan namamatean mi na
An pagdusang-balik kan samong pag-abuso asin kapabayaan.
Pad***s an labi-labing pag-init kan kinaban.

Amen.

Paalaala:
MAGHANDA PO TAYO SA NAKA-AMBANG
"HEAT WAVE"! ngayon Summer

2. Attend a cultural demo
Upgrade your visit into a cultural tour by attending one of its demo stations, located in the cottages just beside the souvenir shop.

You can attend a cooking demo of pinangat, one of the beloved Bicolano dishes consisting of taro leaves and various seasonings cooked in coconut milk. Sample this with either rice or bread, which is often the choice of Bicolanos for breakfast.
