Saltwater Freshwater Arts has done it again! Those awesome local Aboriginal performers who stole the show at SWFW festival this year were all unearthed by the Made Deadly project - from hip hop to heart-melting instrumentals and singer-songwriters, all from the First Nations across the Mid North Coast. Now Gurmesh Singh - MP is supporting another year of this deadly project. Can’t wait to see (and hear!) the results. 🎧🤟🙌 Grow The Music 🧡

Great news today, with $60,000 in State Government funding for an important Coffs Coast cultural project.
Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance, and music development organisation Grow The Music, will offer open-mic sessions to Aboriginal musicians, singers and performers.
Eight performers will be chosen to undergo rehearsals and mentoring to perform at the annual Saltwater Freshwater Festival on Australia Day 2020.
Congratulations to Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance GM Chris Spencer and your team for the outstanding work you do in our community.
I was particularly pleased to make this announcement during NAIDOC Week festivities in Coffs Harbour.
