Then they’ll decide by other factors. E.g. The one they like. The one that stood out.

Bcos why does that bother the mentor?

If mentee paid for mentorship and you delivered and they’re successful? the mentor should rest in that.

In my experience it’s only the mentors ego that’s the issue especially…when the mentee begins to gain clout and attention.

If you have a digital product and would like to make 7-8 figures selling that product without stress.. read this.

1. The money is not in creating a product..

It’s in marketing your product.

It’s not the best product that wins..
it’s the best marketed product that win.

Learn marketing or hire a pro.

2. Building an audience.. Having a community is EVERYTHING.

Many people create courses then look for students..

Successful creators create courses based on feedback from community.

Community first.
Courses/Product second.
3. Be willing to give consistently for a while.. and then ask.

Humans are reciprocal beings.

They have a psychological need to give back..

Give to (a) your community.. this puts them at a need to repay back.. and they’ll do this in two ways that benefit you..

They are:
a. They’ll buy your product when it’s time.

b. For those who may not be able to buy.. they’ll become your evangelists..

They’ll share.. RT and promote your content.. because they found it valuable..

This leads me to my next point:
4. Let others do most of the talking:

If I tell you I’m good at marketing.. you may not believe me..

If 25 other people tell you I’m good at marketing.. you’re more inclined to believe. Why?

What others say about you and your product is far more believable than what you say.

5. Buy time.

Creating a course is hard work
Making money from selling it is harder..

To make money from your digital product then you have to buy time.

Paid ads.. Automation.. V.A. Funnels etc.

These things help you buy back your time by automating or delegating most things

6. Optimize these two things:

Making money on a digital product is a function of two simple things

Traffic: nos of people who see your offer

Conversion rate: % of those that buy after seeing your offer

Always try to increase both

7. Don’t be afraid to (charge a premium or) increase your price.

There are people that will pay.

You however must sufficiently justify why the price is that high.

8. Take stock.

You’re running a business not a charity.

What you make from your product should be 4-5x more than what you spend.

Yes.

This can allow you to create better products and experiences for your customers and students.

One more:

9. Before people will pay you money..

They’ll have to first of all pay you attention.

Getting attention is the first thing when it comes to making money

I asked some tough questions but the will to provide a comfortable life for their family was strong

It wouldn't be easy

They knew that but were willing to put in the work.

The lesson?

Complacency can be a trap.

Even when things seem good, we can get stuck.

It's not about being comfortable, it's about pushing beyond our limits.

No excuses, no shortcuts. Just ownership and dedication.

Recognize when you're settling and push yourself to grow. It may be uncomfortable, but that's where the real growth happens

I learned how to drive without going to driving school—my friend taught me using his mums sienna.

2 classes in and I was on the road.

But in the first two years of having my own car I paid for it with VIO. Police stops. Traffic offenses.

And I couldn’t drive a manual car.

So do I really know how to drive?
