Spclnch

Spclnch "Spacelunch" (short. spclnch) spclnch) is a Dutch electronic music label with an emphasis on the dub sound founded in Minsk in 2019 by Thomas Carmody.

The key ethical principles are an individual approach and a careful selection which allows you to get the best possible from the communication with artists. The concept of releases is dedicated to a fantastic multimedia universe. The space adventures of Spacelunch and Cat unfold in episodes of an interactive musical comic. Each of them has an original script, and they are connected by a consistent storyline.

Darkness hides stories we do not yet understand: echoes of the forgotten, shadows of the unexplored, traces left behind by something — or someone — beyond our perception. SPCLNCH-BLACK is a new series where sound becomes a gateway to the unknown, where minimalism, depth, and mystery unfold through music.

The first chapter — “Phantom Scripts” by Toki Fuko. Lost signals, vibrations beyond reality, and rhythms carrying messages from the void.

Pre-order: lnk.to/phantom-scripts

In 2045, researchers at MindTech discovered an anomaly in neural networks used for direct data transmission into the human brain. They called this phenomenon “Phantom Scripts” — mysterious glitches in the code that activate when a person falls asleep or closes their eyes. Deprived of visual stimuli, the brain becomes more receptive and starts responding to internal impulses from the neuro-interface, generating unexpected images and phrases, as if creating messages from the void.

Analysis revealed that these scripts are particularly active during deep sleep or meditation, when the mind is most vulnerable to external influence, as though an intelligent force is attempting to communicate through the subconscious. What lies behind these messages and why they appear remains unknown. Perhaps the answers are hidden in the darkness itself.

Various Artists – The Best of spclnch 2024

The path to the stars is never a straight line, but it’s the turns, maneuvers, and delays that make it unforgettable. In 2024, our astrojet navigated uncharted sectors, evaded gravitational traps, and found pockets of calm amidst storms of cosmic chaos to collect what matters most.

This compilation is a chronicle of remarkable discoveries, inspiration, and collaboration, uniting musicians, listeners, and our dedicated team. May the new cycle bring you the courage to dream and the freedom to create. The journey continues!

Nicolas Barnes – Sometimes It Takes More Time

🔗 lnk.to/sometimes-it-takes-more-time

As they were approaching the door, a sharp click made them freeze — a high-caliber blaster was aimed straight at them. Kujo stood in front of the door. His massive body resembled that of a giant snail, but instead of the usual soft exterior, he was encased in intricate armor made of interwoven metal plates. These plates contracted and expanded in rhythm with his deep breathing, almost as if they were alive. His elongated head, thrust forward, gave him a menacing look, while a mohawk of his pulsating tendrils swayed, sensing every vibration in the air. Thin, glowing appendages along his face enhanced this eerie, almost mystical presence.

— Who are you? — a raspy voice thundered.
— We’re here to inquire about the portal, — Spacelunch stepped forward.
— Everyone wants to know about the portal. Get lost!
— “The endless rustle of Sivinerian centipedes”, — Spacelunch replied firmly.
— How do you know that?
— The android said it would mean something to you.
— How’s that old hunk of junk doing? Still running? — Kujo grinned but kept the weapon aimed at them.
— Battered, but still operational, — Cat replied with a chuckle.
— That code isn’t given out easily. So, you helped him. Fine. One question — one answer.

Spacelunch explained their mission. Kujo listened in silence, his expression growing more serious.

— That’s Castafarian technomagic, — his voice carried a note of respect. — These technologies are no longer made. The keys to them are held only by the Castafarian Keepers. Their homeworld is Proxima Planet.
— Isn’t it great, — Cat rolled his eyes. — All we’ve learned is: go to Proxima.
— Sometimes the truth takes longer than we expect, — Spacelunch said calmly, resting his hand on Cat’s shoulder. — And I believe the Smoring Queen can help us figure this out…

A true ode to classic techno by Olympiyskiy on DISK_D. The repeating sequence builds a sound architecture where minimalism becomes a tool of elegance, and rhythmic precision an expression of style. There’s nothing superfluous here, just a perfectly balanced blend of depth and motion. Captivating.

Out now!
Shannon Davin – Motown Duet w/ Ludowick, Dive Craft remixes

Stream / download: lnk.to/motown-duet

Shannon Davin’s productions elegantly honor Detroit techno’s legacy, blending lush textures with driving rhythms for a timeless yet fresh sound.

'Motown Duet' delivers two main tracks that blend jazz, dub techno and minimalism with a sense of space and flight. In addition, Ludowick and Dive Craft each add their own versions pushing them into fresh sonic explorations to round out the 75th release of spclnch.

Opening with live drum textures and a moody ambiance, the first piece is underscored by jazzy horns that exude soul and sophistication, true to its title. Its airy deep house vibe channels memories of brilliant deep house in the vein of Wamdue Kids and Chris Brann's '90s classics. 'Strange Mojo' begins with robotic percussion morphing into a sleek nominal house groove. A funky electro bassline adds momentum, while expansive atmospherics evolve. In the final third, soaring chords inject energy, creating a dynamic close. Ludowick’s dub remix of 'Motown Duet' amplifies its symphonic interplay and infuses a richly textured dub techno approach. Spatial effects transform the track into a lush soundscape that builds on the original’s foundation. Dive Craft’s reinterpretation of 'Strange Mojo' sharpens its edge with a shimmering melodic motif and intensified echoes. As it progresses, tech-driven pieces and a tenser rhythm emerge, giving the track a bold, purposeful tone. By the conclusion, a stripped-back minimalism provides an introspective finish.

— Look, how weird! — Cat brushed away the top layer of ash with his paw, revealing snow-white ice. — As if hell and winter had merged.
— This is Motown. Once a major mining town, now just ruins after an eruption.
— I didn't think we'd end up in a hole like this... Especially with Nomad missing.
— And you know what the worst part is? Nomad didn't just disappear. The portal absorbed him. But who opened it, that is the real question.

A massive tower was looming up ahead. Its antennas were sticking out like broken claws. Below, shattered adamantium slabs intertwined with charred tree roots. A sign, covered in ash, was barely legible: “SL75 Experimental Center.”

Once inside, they were greeted by an oppressive silence and icy air that chilled to the bone. The corridors seemed endless in the light of flickering lamps, and the floor was strewn with rusty wreckage of robots and instruments. The control room, once bustling with life, was now filled with empty workstations and displays that were broadcasting only static noise.

— What a creepy place.
— A man once worked here, — Spacelunch ran his palm over the panel. — Kujo. If anyone knows anything about the portal, it's him.

A metallic creak echoed down the corridor. An android appeared in the faint light of the lamps, staggering and dragging a damaged leg. A short stump where his arm used to be exposed tattered wires sparking in time with his footsteps. Empty eyes wandered through space as if trying to focus on the strangers.

— Looking for Kujo? — The mechanical voice was slightly distorted. — You're not the first...
— Do you know anything about him? I can give something in exchange for this information. An implant, for example.
The android made a rattling sound like a short laugh.
— I don't need an arm, but the brain module is another matter. It was stolen and pawned.
— And you didn't try to get it back?
— I tried, but it cost me my arm. If you get the module, I'll tell you where to find him.

The friends looked at each other. The road to answers was not going to be easy, but they were ready to do anything to save Nomad.

Stygmata & Moodeep – Super Forms w/ Lotech/Hijack, R.Hz, Akmuo remixes

🔗 lnk.to/super-forms

Stygmata & Moodeep reunite and combine talents once again, featuring stellar remixers in support of this dub techno journey.

Super Forms is a brilliantly crafted EP in mood and texture, offering a range of interpretations by Lotech/Hijack, R.Hz, and Akmuo that remain cohesive while taking the listener through varied emotional landscapes.

Stygmata & Moodeep introduce two standout originals, 'Form A' and 'Form B'. 'Form A' emerges with a deep, rising beat that gradually grows in intensity. An airy atmosphere gently wraps around the rhythm, creating a balance between power and subtlety. It’s dramatic yet awe-inspiring, drawing the listener in with its tempered energy. 'Form B' shifts towards a more techy, flighty sound. Crisp production drives the track, with chords that ebb and flow quickly, perfectly balancing the groove. Its lighter, more agile rhythm contrasts with Form A's weightier feel, offering a fresh take on techno that is both dynamic and refined. The Lotech/Hijack excursion mix introduces a brisker tempo, with an airy feel reminiscent of scattered clouds. Chords drift in the distance while a taut drum kick maintains focus. This version opens up the track, giving it a lighter, more expansive quality. R.Hz’s remix takes the original darker, cavernous space. With a broken dub beat, the track feels weighted, drenched in eerie tones that gradually grow in intensity. As the version progresses, it unfolds into something vast like a new sonic world emerging from the depths. The final rendition, Akmuo reshape, leans into an ominous, foreboding atmosphere. Like a suspenseful mystery, it plays with tension and unease. The tempo is persistent, while cascading chords bring an unsettling, dark energy that keeps you on edge, wondering what’s around the corner.

spclnch (read as “spacelunch”)

There’s a dashboard with multi-colored indicators and switches in front of you. The signal lights of the take-off approvingly instruct the never-ending journey in space and time of musical styles.

We fill the electronic panorama with a variety of sound scenes. Here dense rhythms are in harmony with airy motifs, bright tones are idyllically intertwined with the twilight side of complex forms, which are replaced by worldly nature, and ecstatic grooves are drowned in the abyss of transcendental contemplation.

This is a space lunch.
