Could she pull off another surprise?

With just two days before the Legislature resumes, Christy Clark is using what could be her final days as Premier to make quiet campaign-type stops around the province and a lot of new promises.

The results with recounts and absentee ballots are finally in, and a minority parliament would take place in the legislature. The plot shall get interesting as Andrew J. Weaver and the BC Green Party makes a decision.

We also covered the difference between the loser and winner mentalities, and what each party contains.

The results with recounts and absentee ballots are finally in, and a minority parliament would take place in the legislature. The plot shall get interesting, as we discussed in this episode.

Is this simply a cash grab by the real estate developers and banks, or is there a business revitalization and social housing benefit with this project? We discuss after a round of public hearing with 122 scheduled speakers, and dragged on so much that additional hearings are still going on right now.

We have sent a representative to attend the 105 Keefer hearing on May 23, 2017. There were 122 registered speakers and many attendees. So many that the city hall had to create impromptu overflow areas and hold additional hearings on May 25, 2017 and May 26, 2017. There were plenty of opposition and…

The BC NDP did better in 2017. They still blew it according to our opinion, and we discussed a couple reasons why.

, 57% of the voters want to see an NDP government working with the Greens, and 58% of the voters want to see the BC Greens work through legislation issue by issue. Buyer’s remorse appears to be brewing well. However, even though the BC NDP has run the strongest campaign in a long time given the odds...

2. Are they destined to win the next election in Alberta?

Alberta's two conservative parties have struck a tentative deal to unite. Wildrose Leader Brian Jean and Progressive Conservative leader Jason Kenney announced the merger Thursday at a news conference in Edmonton.

Could the BC NDP win for the first time against a united 'free-enterprise" party?

Could the BC Green Party be kingmakers?

Could Christy Clark end up getting turfed by the BC Liberal Party even with a weak victory?

Click below to find out our thoughts.

Let’s look back the last three times the BC NDP won a general election (1972, 1991, and 1996). They won because of vote splitting on the ideological right.

We discuss his motivation to keep running for office, his opponent, and the needs of Vancouver-Fraserview with George Chow.

We interviewed George Chow at the Vancouver City Hall in late March. Given his age and the results of the last campaign he ran in 2013, few thought he would drum up the resources to run for office again. That said, he is determined to not let go until he has accomplished his long-term political goal...

Two normal dudes discussing implications of incident.

A week ago, we shared our interview with Kim Chan Logan and our original headline brought some controversy. Hence we are writing this post to clarify.

The original headline "there's no housing crisis, only challenges" was a misquote. While the different interpretations of the severity of affordable housing created some misunderstanding, it was never our intention to smear anybody. Here is the exact quote relevant to the discussion:

"NO: We have so-called housing crisis. Is this a crisis?

KCL: I think it’s a challenge that we need to work together to overcome."

Again, while there may be disagreement with the severity assessment and/or solutions, she did acknowledge the importance of addressing the problem. The original headline crossed the line between misunderstanding and creating untrue statements.

Therefore we are publishing this post to clarify the context, as many of you probably didn't read into the specifics.

We reached out to Kim Chan-Logan’s campaign initially as part of the profile archetype we were targeting for the 2017 general election in British Columbia. She has deep roots within this community, and has quite a heritage story as well. Even though this is anticipated to be a tough place to compete...

Q to Teresa Wat:: Are you concerned about the BC Liberal’s image being hampered by public perception on the campaign financing situation, especially according to an Angus poll saying that 3 out of 4 people believe the BC Liberals only work for its donors?

Answer: If you go back to 2013 and look at all the opinion polls, saying that BC Liberal would not have won the elections. Even my friends are also surprised, and all my friends said something about leaving BC because they thought the NDP was going to win because nobody wants NDP in power, those who worked for the ‘90s. Then what’s the result? So, I answer your question, okay?

Apparently Kim Chan Logan wouldn't call the housing situation a "crisis", but a "challenge".

Do you agree with her?

Edit: there is an error in the headline (since she never said the exact words), we did ask whether the metro vancouver housing situation is a "crisis", and it was answered by being a "challenge". The headline is more accurate to say "do we have a housing affordability crisis or challenge?"

The interview touched upon how the BC NDP would pay for its platform. Also, Anne Kang revealed how she would respond if identity politics is deployed in her district by BC Liberal Party.

Anne Kang is the BC NDP candidate for Burnaby-Deer Lake (you may have seen her campaign ads on the bicycle lock stations). She is nominated to run for the NDP as the incumbent MLA, Kathy Corrigan, is stepping away from provincial politics. Overall impression from this interview is that she seems to…

Members of the B.C. Liberal party are renting a truck with anti-NDP slogans emblazoned on the side. The trucks follow NDP leader John Horgan to campaign events. It's unclear how effective they are, but experts agree it’s a sign the election campaign is shaping up to be nasty.

The so-called “anti-Chinese” politician David Eby wants to prove he is a “savior" from sinophobia. What do you think?

In the 2011 by-election, he gave the premier a run for her money losing a close race. In 2013, his campaign chased Premier Clar...
